Played better without him when he was recovering from ankle surgery season as well.

If Thomson didn’t get injured at Rugby Park he would have struggled to make the starting XI imo.

That's right, Thomson started the season on fire.

Thomson was such a good player. Far more than just a ball winner. His first time 'round the corner' passes were class. I was genuinely gutted when we sold him. Probably the last time we sold a player and I was annoyed about it.

Negative influence by demanding more from sub par players that were never Rangers players in a million years? pretty similar to the soft as shite squad we have now.

We were generally a far better side after he was stripped of the captaincy and on the bench or out the team altogether from April 2009 onwards. Think we went on an 8 game winning streak and only dropped 2 points the rest of the season.

It's a bit odd, but is totally a thing in Germany, Italy and Poland where you have domestic links as well as international ones, like tbh most clubs do.

The Hamburg one with Dortmund has died off a bit but they have more popular ones with Hannover and Bielefeld.

Hamburg will always be my German team.

Never knew Dortmund fans done this display either.

Was planning to go to a Dortmund game next year (just for experience value) but that plan will be getting binned.

A few Hamburg fans follow Dortmund too.

There's a bit of a friendship between some sections of each others support.

Found it boring everybody jumping on their bandwagon when Klopp, Gotze, Reus started becoming big, and that shite song they sing at the start.

    Plus shite like this

Their ultras are left leaning, but have historically had huge problems with neo-nazis and the far right in their support too. More so than probably any other big German club.

Nah, Watford fan. A guy I'd played with a couple of years before who I couldn't stand. He'd had a bit of a shoving match with a guy in my team and I lost the place, stupidly, when the ball was in play.

Ref seen it, blew. I got booked I think. Prick got up and scored the winner. Cost us a double as we had won the league.

    I could see that, yes.

All I can hear with the Arsenal song is Hey there Delilah though and I really wish I didn’t

My girlfriend at the time loved that song when it came out and I remember making her upset when I said they sounded like a shit Simon and Garfunkel

We keep talking about Barron, Miller, Watson and Cameron as these talented, young midfielders who we should sign, but are we forgetting that we’ve got Bailey Rice who is said to be as highly rated and talented, but still can’t get near one of the most stagnant and pedestrian midfields that we’ve had for years for whatever reason.

We need to get him out on loan next season if he isn’t going to be integrated into the first team next season and get meaningful minutes.

I guess it depends on what it is that Clement thinks he has to develop on as to why he hasn't been playing for us.

It's easier to chuck young players out wide or at full back because mistakes there are generally more forgiving for the team.

Chucking Rice into an already dysfunctional midfield that has defensive transition problems could be a disaster if its been identified that it is his positioning that he has to work on for example.

Even if we loaned him out there are certain qualities that may mean he could find himself not being picked at Championship level if they need to be worked on.

Ideally we want young players to make mistakes and learn from them but not to the wider detriment of our results and the players overall confidence. It's a tricky one.

Bayern have been turned down by every manager and their dog.

The ultimate player power dressing room that is dialled right into Rummenigge and Hoeness, who despite their supervisory positions nowadays still ultimately call the shots.

Even Ancelotti, whose man management is legendary, struggled there.
