If he is fit and motivated, why wouldn't Gerrard give him a chance? he is exceptionally good at finding space and say what you like about him but his first time finish rate was phenomenal. 
gerrard was quick to say when he joined that everyone had a clean slate - so let's see that apply to Pena. If Gerrard still thinks he is unprofessional or has issues or is just shite then that's fine with me. But he should be given the opportunity if he applies himself.

The manager said a couple of months ago that he needs to be managed properly becuase of age but he seems to be starting in  lot of our matches and I dont think he is ready for that myself just now.

He needs at least 2 seasons to build his team but in the same way he has criticised his players decision making he needs to take a look at his own.
The back four in particular is tinkered with too much, Goldson was much more effective on the right CB slot and Katic/ Worrall were doing a job on the other.  McAuley is more than useful cover but if he isn’t up to playing regularly he shouldn’t be constantly upsetting the rhythm. 
He has a blind spot when it comes to certain players.. Ejaria (the guy will not make it at any decent level imo) and Flanagan shouldn’t  be played at left back again, he’s too one footed.  Halliday showed better balance in that area today as he has done a lot recently.
I’m not panicking as a strong 2nd and hopefully a Scottish Cup performance in the new year will be something to build on for this squad.  + the unmentionables will drop more points.  We need to try to just keep ourselves in the mix come Spring time.

We've had many good catholitic players, playing for us and supporting us - it's the feeenyuns, the irish immigrant fenians that even after 7 generations will do their utmost to disrespect and denigrate RFC.

This boy gets far to much abuse on this forum, threads every week about him, for goodness sake folks here we have a guy who obviously loves having the opportunity to represent our club and probably can't believe that he gets to pull that blue jersey over his head on a regular basis, his detractors can say whatever they like about him but the boy has obviously worked his arse off behind the scenes and been rewarded for the effort he has been putting in, yes of course he has limited ability but it's not his fault that he gets picked to play, but good on him for trying his best when he does get the opportunity and never complains if he's played out of position because he's just delighted to be able to play for us no matter what.
I would much rather have a player with limited ability who is trying his best every time he gets the opportunity and hates seeing The Rangers getting beaten than someone with limited ability who is only there to pick up a wage, the management know what Andy Haliday offers the club and until he is eventually replaced in the squad he should be congratulated for his efforts and not castigated just because he has "limited ability".

Thought he did fine today.  Nobody was outstanding other than Morelos when he came on. Tav was very poor other than the assist.  Some of the criticism of him is embarrassing

The B Team lost 3-2 to a Rangers XI at Ibrox Stadium on Sunday morning, 4 November. Jan Zamburek and a Trialist netted for The Bees, while Patrik Gunnarsson saved a penalty at the other end.
The Blues had to wait until the final minute of time to break the Brentford resistance, coming away with a victory with almost the final kick of the game.

Just something that caught my attention watching the match today was the hoarding advertising the SNP, I thought it was against the rules for clubs to display political banners but a quick look on the EUFA website gives no clear ruling, only to say they are reviewing FANS using banners, nothing regarding actual clubs, which I found strange and the SPFL site gives nothing at all, I believe this could possibly open a nasty can of worms if it is indeed allowed.

we need to be patient... not ‘3 year project’ patient but at least a full season type of patient! I’m not fully blown away by the Gerrard hype train but we’ve signed some good players and I see some good signs.  I also like his no bullshit attitude.  
Equally I think Pedro wasn’t given much of a chance... yes he created some of his own problems and gambled too much on signings that weren’t suited to our league... but after a terrible start back in Mexico he’s now 1 point off top spot in the league and won the Copa MX.  Not quite the no mark clown figure the Scottish media wanted to sell him as!
Notice too how those same Scottish ‘journalists’ don’t write articles deriding him these days!

In hindsight we should’ve just given Pedro the entirety of last season.  Paying him off 10 games in when we had no replacement was madness.  The knock back from McInnes was an embarrassment and having to go with an intern manager for the rest of the season a complete joke.  Murty was no better and finished the season a broken man after that semi-final game and 5-0 league defeat shortly after.  A colossal fuck up by the board.
