I was 16 (nearly 17) when I went to this game.
Good Times. Remember we used to sing "Skol Skol Skol Skol" as we seemed to practically own the League Cup in those days.

Aye, mind watching the sheep finals in the late 80s/early 90s at home as a boy. Great contests between two good outfits. Obv we were that bit better. They were on a slow downwards trajectory from the early to mid 80s whilst we were on a fast upwards one. Football was still a bit more harem scarem, fast and British back then.
Live football on TV felt special too. Didn't get much of it until Sky came along just after that.

Now.. this performance - where did it come from? My opinion is.. this is Gio giving up on his initial tactics. There was a time las season where he went strict 433 with wingers and it didnt work.. we were terrible, then reverted back to something similar to Gerrard/Beale tactics and it was miles better. Today looked a lot like going back to something like that. Kent had much more of a free role and he was miles better. We were relentless today and Aberdeen were completely blown away. It should have been about 7 today..
