i loved this game, i dont think i would have the patence for it now, i tried fm 10 and didnt like it!

anyone remember the season that had the diablo formation, it used to result in you winning by 5 or 6 or else losing because your strikers missed about 30 shots on goal, the ACM was your best player and i managed to turn stephen hughes into a 40million quid sale to newcastle

then there was the season that had the bug on release where you could set your striker to man mark the opposing goalkeeper, and he scored at least 3 everygame, eventually a patch was released to fix it lol

99/00 was my first, in that the best two players to buy were Saviola and Aimar, and cheaper but just as deadly, Martin Palermo. Also, the first few that actually showed you the games happening (not just text, but 2d, think it was 02/03 it started) Fernando Cavenaghi was a fuckin' monster. No matter what team you got him with, he'd go on to be worth about 35 mil a season later.
