Year 3, June-August Window

- Wigan manager Steve Bruce leaves the club to take on the Manchester United job. Could he take Dougie Wright with him?

- Aldrin signs pre-contract with Wolves, rejecting Tottenham offer

- James Sawyer suffered a heart attack today when learning that Rio Ferdinand was to take over the manager's hottest at QPR.

- Former Celtic assistant manager John Robertson takes over as Wigan manager., being promoted from his first-team coach role.

- James Sawyer makes his debut for QPR, playing the full 90 minutes against Manchester United. However, a mixture of poor form carried on from last season, and the huge gulf in class between scottish division 1 and english premiership football, meant that Sawyer only managed a 6.1 rating. Only Jonathan Woodgate was worse on the day, with a 5.9 rating. The match finished with a 1-1 draw.

- David McPipehelm becomes youngest ever East Asian Championship Qualifiers player at 16 years and 237 days. He played the full 90 minutes against Mongolia in a 1-0 win and got a 7.3 rating.

- Mike Goldberg signs first professional contract with Manchester City. A 1 year deal worth £55 a week (it's happened again…)

- Man City accepts loan offer form Cardiff for Starch!

- Starch rejects loan move! He has no intention of going to Cardiff at this time!

- Transfer window shuts!

Year 3 September - January

- Man City accept loan offer from Blackpool for Starch (on 19th September? that's new to me…)

- Starch joins Blackpool on loan for a month! Sergio Aguero tells "Goal.com" that the move is exactly what his team mate needs.

- Dmitri gets a wage hike to £1,500 a week after appearing in 20 league games for Hercules

- Scotland U-21's beat Spain U-21s 3-1, with 2 goals from Dave Keith on the 10th and 46th minutes and a penalty from captain Starch on the 79th minute. Spain got a late consolation goal on 84 minutes from Iker Muniain. Dmitri the Soup Thieg, Danny Dyer and Nathan Aird all featured in this match, With Dyer coming on for Dmitri on the 32nd minute. Keith and Starch were the only two undiscovered talents involved for Scotland, although Chmelar was on the bench.
