GOAT 30,449
Which one do you think back at most and feel if only injuries or mood swings never happened? Would we have qualified for the next round of CL with Mols?Would we have won 10 in a row if Negri never chucked it?Potentially we could have had the two of them in the same team! The Godfather 72,671
Mols was the big one for me, he had all the tools to be one of the best strikers in Europe and he joined us at his peak. He could turn any defender inside out and his turn of pace was brilliant pre injury. I honestly feel if he avoided that Khan challenge then we would have progressed in Europe and Mols would have gone on to become a world class striker. Blue and True 311
correct in both.
Marco Negri's Beard 1,423
Too difficult. Both unbelievable strikers
RANGERST1LLADIE 33
Would love to have seen more a mols, unbelievably talented! Unstoppable in the same team imo.
sassaaaa 11,406
Not convinced by Negri , but Mols was superb and would have went on to greater things till the injury .
jafrfc 614
If Negri had continued the way he had started then he would of gone on to be one of the best strikers in the world.
Johnstone Burgh 1,658
The fact that we could have had em both up front in form atthesame time makes me wonder what they would have been like..
The Godfather 72,671
Negri is a mystery...a game of squash and that was him...finished! He was a revalation that season with his finishing but seemed to just chuck it after the injury.
big peachy 4
Mols was awesome for us right until that german helmet done him.He could have nutmegged spl defenders in a fonebox with a medicine baw.Yes he was that good. Now we have 11 square goes for the next 12 games.Passion sweat bottle aggression is required.Fukin intae them . caseyjones 3,009
As good as Mols was, Negri, without a doubt. If that level of scoring had been maintained he would have shattered all the records. If only his scoring had been confined to the pitch... outlaw69uk 123
Negri is a mystery...a game of squash and that was him...finished! He was a revalation that season with his finishing but seemed to just chuck it after the injury.Game of "squashing it" into Porrinis missus I belive Negri has to be the biggest what if, as, we only got what? 6 months out of him and he was just immense for that period. Got more than most do in a season in that time. He "could" have broken a lot of records if he had remained. His finishing was just a thing of beautyMols, we got a lot out of, and, we KNOW how good he was (and, is still pretty handy at the sixes!)Both together, and, on form? Thats a frightening prospect I think
Geo1Hero 7
If Negri wouldn't have shagged Porini's wife then it mighta been a different story
Ozblue 4,332
Mols was a far better footballer than Negri by a long shot. Negri was a freak who never ever wanted to be a footballerWhat if,eh???? Good question
JograBear 1,074
Mols was a class act. Genius.
Swagger 8,353
Mols was an incredible talent. Made it look so easy and had everything to be one of the best in the world. Amazing close control, speed, top finishing and THAT turn. Defenders knew it was coming but still couldn't do anything about it. They harp on about Larsson who it has to be said was a cracking player but Mols had more, way more
centenarystand 2,229
Had he stuck around for a few years Negri would have made that Swedish diving cheating bastard look like Sebo.
TheLawMan 6,240
Mols by a country mile for me
kp501 6
They had that swedish gypo.... we had Mols. Great player, much better all round player than Negri and Larsson. Signing either of them even at their age would fill me with more confidence than signing Cousin in all fairness!EDIT : Hope I'm proved wrong btw
Dan Deacon 55,716
MOLS without doubt.
minstral 5,375
No excuses for 10 in a row, we should have won it with our eyes shut against one of the worst Celtic teams.
garycassidy1802 37
My vote is definitely Michael Mols.Negri was quality too, but too much mystery about him, and you can't flaw Mols at all.
hesaidnototheprovos 75
Mols could have been a superstar, and that is no exaggeration. Honestly believe he could have been as good as what Van Persie is today. Negri was a goal machine.... was world class in that half season... Scary what could have been
TheBluebells 6,898
Unbelievable the level of player we used to have Mols for me because of all round ability although seeing if Negri could continue the scoring (on the park) would have been good to see. I would say Negri, I honestly think he was world class when we signed him, whereas Mols could have been
