GF John 169
Going cap in hand to Arsenal fans who are already paying through the nose to watch their own well-run team. Noone is going anywhere 'cap in hand', from what I can tell it's a group of Arsenal fans encouraging this off their own back.I wouldn't expect much to come from it, but to suggest that we're begging them for money is a bit wide of the mark. OlegKuznetsov 10,816
Do not underrate the humanity of the common football fan. Because we are based in Scotland, particularly Glasgow, we are held back by a narrow parochialism which justifies our sense of marginalisation. McBoyd 355
Amazing if true! This could be a good thing for us, we could build, rebuild and rekindle old relationships like the one with Arsenal.
54andcounting 627
I think if the club offerred to play us a friendly before the end of season, this would be a great gesture, or before the end of marchAgree, but as long as they do not win. Marco Negri's Beard 1,423
I feel uncomfortable about it; it really rams home the point of the state we are actually in.Firstly, as somebody pointed out, we are not going cap in hand, if some group of fans chooses to try to help, its got little to do with us. Secondly, you are right, we are in a state. I don't think this is the time for being proud. Anyone wanting to dip into their pocket and donate it to us is fine by me if it means something towards the survival of the club

I suggest you travel and realise that the only difference between us and many other countries with football clubs and the like, is that we talk like that, and they don't. Sobatai 70
Arsenal is probably the classiest club in England and but for the romanticism that surrounds the Munich Disaster would probably be the country's biggest club.

It's something which I would associate with the likes of Darlington, Chester or Stockport, no offence to any of them.

derek1872 548
Fantastic gesture if true especially after Whyte selling the shares they gave us. It is a shame we need help from other clubs. During these times though I dont care I will take charity if it helps us to survive. I would like to think if the roles were reversed we would do the same.
