nachothelegend 1,932
Johann Cruyff or Mario Kempes- cant decide both fantasticThis. I was at both games must admit Kempes destroyed us that night what a left foot shot he had.I cant split these two but Cruyff sent us all a dummy that night.Awesome both of them. caseyjones 3,009
Never saw him at Ibrox, but that is without doubt a possibility...along with Mr Puskas. If you can, watch the documentary made about Puskas. Superb.
Colonel Mustard 380
If you can, watch the documentary made about Puskas. Superb. There's also a great documentary (ESPN I think) on di Stefano, that gets shown from time to time. Those 2 guys helped turn Real Madrid into an absolute football monolith. DiniKen 11
RiquelmeThe time and space he created that night was amazing. A little magician
MillwallLoyal 284
Envious as fuck here re: seeing Cruyff. Best i've ever seen, though not at Ibrox, was Stan Bowles. Took the piss big time, which was why he never got to where he should've in the game. Would've loved to have seen him in a Ger's shirt. A good 10 years before his time. Mr Soprano 13,964
Messi is still a cunt though Why the constant Messi bashing?
Jamie1993RFC 13
Why the constant Messi bashing?I'm only joking, mate. Messi seems like a decent enough lad. I did dislike him before but that's because I thought he really did say Rangers play anti-football.
WWTC 2,247
Sorry, but if you have messi just based on abilty and not the performance, you'd have to say just about everyone here have never seen a better player than messi at ibrox. Messi will be the best player that ever lived, ive no doubt about that, hes up there already. I knkw people will say cruyff etc, but again, im sorry, messi's already better. In terms of performance at ibrox, del perio was unreal in 95, mendieta was rediculously good aswell, was that 99? puyol at rightback was a joy to watch, he was the best player on the park, the fact we hold a place in his heart helps. sergio 1,199
My Dad told me he took me to the Ibrox disaster benefit match . I was young and have no recollection of this, I was told that George Best played in that Match - If that was the case, Then he would have been the best I had seen at Ibrox. Colonel Mustard 380
Del Piero destroyed us in the CL when Juve won 4-0.And? He was nowhere near being the best player to play at Ibrox.Try to stick to the thread.

TrueBlue11 13
Benzema is the best player I've seen at Ibrox, horrible night but that performance was unreal. Riquelme and Forlan were brilliant in game against Villreal too.
BCLoyal9 53
Riquelme for Villareal. For me , still a unique player.
archangel gabriel amato 240
Or that young lad from bacelona Ronaldinho aswell that same night! Although nowhere near their best still 2 of the greatest I have seen in the flesh, pity one of the became a fat waste of space and a show player and the other went home to Brazil
Calgereh 1
The best player I ever seen play at Ibrox was Liam Brady when he played for Inter Milan. Although we beat them 3-1? on the night we lost on aggregate 4-3 I believe. He still stood head and shoulders above anyone else on the field, about the best I have seen a player play despite losing 3-1. Thermopylae 15,287
I always remember the same pre-season that we signed Brian and Boli Sampdoria were at Ibrox and I though Lombardi looked a really clever player

gersandy 594
Juan Roman Riquelme for Villareal. His passing was out of this world and we couldnt get near him all night.
rbt1548 1,848
Pat Jennings, one of my heroes when I was younger, saw him at Ibrox in the friendly with Arsenal, think it was 1978, when Clive Allen played his only game for Arsenal. QPR wouldn't sell him to Spurs, so Arsenal bought him, played him once and sold him to Spurs,a bit like Spurs and Rangers did with Gough when Dundee Utd. wouldn't sell him to us.Also saw Jennings at Hampden playing for N.I. and one of his best saves ever , his one handed stop from Derek Johnstone, hammered along the ground daisy cutter style,he stopped it dead with one hand.Easily the top British goalkeeper of his generation.
