Marco Negri's Beard 1,423
Don't know about that, Naismith has performed well for us and Scotland and is attracting EPL teams who have been bidding for him this week. He is still young enough to make another couple of moves imo and if he done well at a mid table EPL club then who knows, look at Arteta. The only thing about Naisy that may stop him playing at the top is how he comes back from his injury. Not the best example, tho still reckon he won't ever reach that high a level unfortunately. I guess my ultimate point was that reputations don't always come simply from how well you play. On a global level, Weiss is undoubtedly considered a finer footballer than Aluko, I don't think that he has done significantly more in his career to prove that he is that much better than Aluko though. He has achieved a bit more but I don't really think Weiss has done an exceptional amount to garner his reputation other than being at admittedly impressive clubs. It's too late, my heed is switched off.

His dad playing him in big international games have also helped that cause I guess.Yeah it's far too late to start thinking about things too much... Clemdog 39,389
Right now?Head says Aluko. Heart says Weiss. Think that says it all.But there have been many factors which are different.

RANGERST1LLADIE 33
Weiss was a great wee player but thought he was quite inconsistent. Aluko has been a great player for us and the spark we needed. He's consistently been good and I can't mind the last player to be man of the match at ibrox before him.Aluko for me
BlueSuedeSambas 54,417
Weiss has the second most assists in the SPL last year. Aluko isn't even on the list this year so surely that wipes the Aluko is more effective because Weiss was more style than substance argument out straight away? Brian Fantana 28,894
Weiss was shite.Weiss was too pacy for the team around him. countless times the wee man would make runs and there was no one near him to lay the ball off/receive the ball from. very harsh to blame him for being a sprightly forward thinking player when others were not. Craig Ward 12
Imaging both of them,NaismithWeiss McCabe Ness Davis AlukoThat would be shit hot.
OlegKuznetsov 10,816
I thot he was just ok, i seen past his ten step overs. Aluko can step over and go past his man then pass it. Weiss seemed to hold on to the ball to long. This is very true.He had some great moments for us, such as his debut and the quickly taken pass from the free kick that set up Jelavic for the winner in the League Cup final. Gazzalivesforever 2,001
Aluko for me, has performed consistently better than Weiss. Wouldn't mind Aluko and Weiss on the wings with lafferty up top and Naismith in the hole.
bluenose_72 198
Aluko. He has been more consistent than Weiss ever was and he's been more productive. Weiss was an exciting player who on his day was outstanding, but he could never put together a run of good performances.

TheLawMan 6,240
I loved Vlad and would have him back in a minute but Aluko for me is something special.I count myself lucky to have seen both of them mind you but Sone just edges it.
novosleftboot 6,291
Aluko has been better for us but I think Weiss is the better player and will play at a higher level.Need to remember when Weiss was here it was his 1st season with regular 1st team football, Aluko has had it and in this league for a few years. This is bang on the money, imo. Would love to see them both in the same side- they'd rip the spl to shreds
garyrfc 0
Who even votes for Weiss?I liked him but compared to Aluko he did fuck all
Mr Struth 137
Vladimir Aluko please.
Chef 436
I thought Weiss was the mutts nuts but aluko to me is more rounded and such a revelation, and if we had no aluko we would not be second and I honestly believe this

JCS 649
Aluko has much better ability and control on the ball, and can easily beat a player. I never felt that Vlad had that talent, although he was fast.

Gaz52 11,837
Weiss was a quality guy and a quality player but the impact from Aluko has been fantastic, showed he's a player and ready to do it on the big stage with a big club. Get him tied down
Raff1690 25
Consistency I would say aluko. Sone had been incredible since his arrival. Vlad was for me hit or a miss, quality on his day though. Would love to have sone and vlad on the wings, would rip the spl apart
