Andy little

Recommended Posts

With the Clark and daly signing and it looking like miller could come in as well where does this leave him .

IMO he is a striker and should only be played as one , he isn't good enough to play right mid and if anyone deserves a run upfront then it's him but I don't see him getting it .

If we go with 1 upfront again next season that position should be his to lose IMO given the goals he got last season

I would hope to see Andy as part of a front two or even three although thats a bit attacking for Ally. I would start the pre season with Little and either Clark or Daly up front and also give others like Naismith/Hemmings/Mckay if fit time up front in friendlys to see how they shape up. By the start of the season i would hope everybodys had a little gametime to show what they can do, Little and Clark are my prefered front two right now but who knows Daly might start banging in the goals and move to the head of the striker cue.

Kenny Miller is still being dismissed as a rumour according to Whitecaps. Was on the Canadian News last night....http://metronews.ca/...ck-to-scotland/ http://www.theprovin...0829/story.html

I agree, Andy does a stand up job up front and certainly shows passion when playing. He definitely isn't right or left wing material.

Where do these new strikers leave Dean Shiels and the 4 year contract he was given? If we do go 4-4-2 next season to accommodate the new strikers then I don't see how Shiels fits in. Last season we played with one up front and someone just off him and that's a role Shiels specialises in.

We could have 4 established strikers in Daly, Little, Clark, and McCulloch with 120 goals between them last season in various Divisions. Sheils who can be used just off a fron man if needed. Where Kenny Miller fits in to this I don't know.

Shiels feels like the forgotten man of Ibrox these days, i still think he can make a good Rangers career but as you say fitting him into the team (and some others) is difficult with the amount of attacking players we now have. Defence is the most vital area for strengthing now.

maybe we should just pick the best 2 depending on how they are performing in training, if one of them isn't producing the goods he takes a back seat and has to work extra hard to get his place back, should be the same for every position

Little and Clark is our future and should be our first choice 2 strikers.

Clarks proved nothing yet at Rangers Little has once he has scored as many as little has done for Rangers it would be a better time to judge him.

It doesn't work like that. Whittaker was shit last season but constantly got game time when fit. Probably because of the ridiculous money he was on. McMillan came in when Whitaker and Broadfoot were was injured, played very well, should have kept the jersey, but Ally dropped him as soon as Whittaker was fit again. It wasn't long after that McMillan left and who can blame him.

If McCoist goes one up front next season he'll get heckled even more. There is no reason why we can't attack assuming he gets the defence sorted.

Absolutely. I've backed Ally throughout but now we can bring in players and appear to be going after His targets, there will be no excuses. I would hope as you say, he sorts out the defence primarily and allow the forward thinking players to express themselves freely.

Love the way the Kenny story refuses to die. Would have thought the fact he is under contract to Witecaps would kill it.

Little has to be the main striker, McCulloch has to take the defensive role, he getting slow as a forward. Think we will get to see Andy combine with a few different striking partners in the first months

sooner that mcculloch was a holidng midfielder. he's better than what we've got (not wallace obviously) at the back but he's no defender.

Andy Little being shite playing from the right is a myth.

He might not be shite on the right but he's nowhere near as effective. It's a waste him having out on the right when you have plenty of width in Templeton and McKay (albiet sometimes injured both of them), even Shiels too - again, when fit.

nonsense, whittaker was a far better player than mcmillan, if Little, Clark, Daly, Miller or anybody else wants to play for Rangers they have to prove they're good enough to the manager, nobody should be afforded a starting place based on reputation or salary
