theiconicman 3,000
An expensive disaster who's won 3 SPL titles with us, won numerous cups and played in a European final. He contributed to all of those. That's just on field matters, off it he's been a hero and thankfully 99% of Rangers fans treat him as the hero he is.He has been a great servant of our club, but that doesn't mean we should just continue to pay him a pension when he hangs up his boots. To many times this great club is used by people for a great pay day. McCulloch is signed to 2015 when he'll be 37. That is not a strategy we can keep doing, especially on the wages he is being paid. WadeWilson 4,670
A failure as a striker, a failure as a central defender and a failure as a midfielder. All whilst playing in a poor league.A success as a striker when playing in the 4th tier of Scottish football, largely against postal workers, joiners and plumbers. No experience in coaching. On the plus sideHe has a big knob.Ahhhh... Now your agenda against our captain makes sense. Penis Envy.

It's not going to stop now unless we get a management team in that has fresh ideas outwith the "Rangers men" / "jobs for the boys" policy. FernandoR20 2,133
He'd certainly show the boys how to rip the club off for millions.A failure as a striker, a failure as a central defender and a failure as a midfielder. In the real world managers and coaches have years of experience, desire to succeed and study the game exhaustively. Some of them are even looking for employment.Still I am sure our blueprint of jobs for the boys will be a better way forward.I despair at our fanbase and their apparently woeful level of expectation. Are you a fucking mentalist? Cadman 347
Kenny Miller will add nothing to what McCoist has available to him at the moment, to him Rangers will be his final pay day before retirement ,,, those that think he will play for next to nothing are kidding themselves on, he'll be looking for somewhere between 7.5 and 10k a week (which, because it's less than he was on previously, will be seen by him as 'next to nothing'). McCoist wants him at Ibrox, he's already made that much clear, but how will he be played and what role will he have? probably as a lone striker as I can see McCoist having a more defensive setup for the Championship (4 - 5 - 1 against teams of better quality than we're used to just now) with the aim to be concede little but score when we can. Where does this leave the likes of Daly, Clarke etc who have shown their more than capable of getting the job done with Daly in particular proven at a higher level (even if it is SPL level). If Miller is seen as being a useful addition, and still capable of doing a decent job in Scottish football, why aren't the likes of Aberdeen, Kilmarnock and Motherwell trying to tempt him back? possibly because they would know his wage demands or deem him to be too old for their squads. Again McCoist will be putting the board under pressure ,,, if he wants Miller and Wallace refuses then the usual suspects will chip in with the 'Ally doesn't get the backing of the board' comments and if the signing is allowed then others will say 'the board are too soft' etc. Regarding future coaching roles for Miller and McCulloch ,,, why? while they may have experience what have they actually done that will have players saying 'wow ,,, I could actually learn from them' bearing in mind that those same players will already see themselves as just as good as Miller and McCulloch (unless of course they would be coaching the youth teams ,,, but would that be an acceptable level for them). Personally I just can't see any benefit to bringing Kenny Miller back to Rangers ,,, either to the betterment of the team or in a financial sense and he should be a case of 'thanks but no thanks', like has been said elsewhere in the thread McCoist would be better thought of trying to get the likes of May from St Johnstone etc.

No chance should they be managing the 1st team as soon as they retire from playing football.
Clyde Valley 234
Could be a useful player in a much harder league but is he worth the money? He wont play for nothing.
1st_Jan_1994 4,868
McCulloch's played football at the highest level, is a good player and knows exactly what it means to play for Rangers. I honestly dont know why him becoming a coach would be a bad thing?Bawbag and the host seem to absolutely despise people who support Rangers. It's absolutely bizarre.Still doesn't mean they'd make a good coach McCoist is all of them things and he's IMO the worst manager we've had
