Bad Robot 21,512
We also need to get over the automatically dismissing players because they played for us before too mate. Each signing should be judged on their merits and what they bring to the team, nothing more. Them playing for us before should be irrelevant.bang on the money
Reformation Bear 6,453
I can see no compelling case to re-sign him. In my view there is no recent compelling evidence that the likely contribution he would be make would more than justify the wage he would be paid. Far far more would be likely to be gained by promoting one of the U20s to the first team squad. Their hunger and appetite for success would be likely to outweigh Thomson's by a significant distance. And there would be the prospect of a future transfer fee.
WilliamFyfe 1,438
Please no. He ruined himself when he left us.
Dutchy 1,200
I don't know what he's got left, didn't he miss hibs first penalty on Sunday?
WeirFleckNRothen 1,789
I loved him during his first spell, but I wouldn't go near him these days. The tenacious Kevin Thomson that we watched during an excellent three-year spell under Walter Smith is no longer. Now, injuries have caught-up with him and he genuinely looks like he's fallen out of love with football. It's a shame.
RD.1872 890
Chocolate knees. Great player for us though, his tackles on Keane in the Edu game were quality!
DonaldTSterling 35
Thomson will be lucky to still be an active player this time next year. He's finished at even Championship level.sad decline

Spectre 1,663
Past it, injury prone and plays in a position where we already have more than enough players and are apparently chasing at least one more.

BlueSuedeSambas 54,398
Absolutely not. I remember when we sold him somebody on here said that we had doubts about his long term fitness and that's why we sold when we did rather than give him a new deal and that certainly looks to be true going by how his career has gone since leaving us. pcbear 10,924
Scott Brown was a far superior player, when we tried the double signing we got the raw deal.

ianferguson 2,619
Scott Brown was a far superior player, when we tried the double signing we got the raw deal.If Brown had a brain he'd have been a player ,however !
scarkev 3,540
A good player at his best but to many injuries have ruined him and he's not even better than what we currently have so would be a pointless signing.....quess that means ally will be on the phone. Back2BackChampions 31
Apart from that cracker of a tackle on keane, can't say he did much else, injury prone aswell
RD.1872 890
Scott Brown was a far superior player, when we tried the double signing we got the raw deal.Disagree. Throughout Thomsons time with us he looked twice the player, always made an impact in OF games too which can't be said for Brown (bar the odd game).
