reminds me of unirea, that cunt with a shoe budget took us apart.

Unirea never had a shoe string budget, they were big spenders at the time and have since been dissolved cause they couldn't afford to keep it going.

Could be a good appointment for Celtic. 12 month deal is decent. Playing it safe.

I wonder which party lacks confidence in the other.

His record suggests he makes gradual progress and takes years to achieve results.

This puts pressure on him, having to somewhat rebuild a downsized squad.

If he lasts, he has no OF experience.

If he doesn't, they're rebuilding when we return.

You can't predict the future but this gives me a "win-win" feeling.

Its definitely an interesting appointment - and for someone to accept a 12 month rolling contract you would suspect he is confident in his own abilities. That being said they could have anyone in charge this season and they will win the league.

With no us, Hibs or Hearts, it is not really a risky appointment - they can afford to experiment. If he is a success its a huge plus for cellic, but if he fails, they can release him after 12 months and move on with a "nothing ventured, nothing gained" byline.

He's playing in something of a vacuum without the big guns. How do you judge his success?

It's all very well looking great against Motherwell and St Mirren, but he comes with limited experience and will gain limited experience in that first 12 months.

In that respect he is similar to Ally - and they will quantify success the same way we do with Ally - a mixture of results, playing style, a feeling of progress being made etc. they will also throw in "cellic minded" if its not going well right enough.

Absolutely.

The relegation of Hibs and Hearts comes at a good time for us, requiring us to up our game even more than the higher Championship alone would.

I have a feeling that things are beginning to turn our way. The next step up will not as huge as expected.
