chris182 6,310
He's got to say that. He wants the pay-off and until the board write him a cheque he will continue to say this.
MacBoyd 5,477
Very disappointing end of the season I'd get but this is all about the money for sure

ready1873 3,886
To be fair, what else can he say?
Frank Reynolds 3,359
If he's here for 12 months, there's always promotion in 2016/
STEPPS BOY 74,010
Where else would he get 15 k a week..Acting in the best interests of Rangers is 'Super'
KingKirk 25,656
Was always gonna say that.. He won't be tho
hammer93 15,057
I seriously think he is taking the piss now, that statement Cleary means he wants paid toleave.Surely we can arrange some sort of severance payment which is paid over the 12month period. sandyinroyalblue 16,478
A game of brinkmanship from both board and McCoist is not what we need.I wish they could just get it sorted and get a new manager in.
jackheid 8
Why doesn't McCoist do the proper thing and just keep quiet, he wouldn't speak at Wednesday's meeting, that was done through his legal team. He does like to speak to everyone else though, he should be sacked and we should invite him to pursue his claim in any way he sees fit.
Guardian 4,281
Another wee briefing to the DR for Ally. Our haters cant wait for when he dishes the dirt for more pieces of silver.Rangers man my arse unless you mean QPR.
Deep Blue Something 14
Each side is playing a game of poker. McCoist wants his money, all of it, before he will leave and he will sit it out either in the dug out or his garden and collect his weekly cut of the 750K per annum. The Board want him to take a reduced payment to leave and sign a Confidentiality Agreement. Ally will not accept the money nor sign the CA as he will probably be looking at a book deal to spill the beans.End of Round 1 - IMPASSEI expect Round 2 after Saturday's result but before the AGM without much change. Round 3 will be after the AGM and it is then I expect an agreement (even amicable???) and Ally's departure thereafter.A very Ally Christmas to us all. KingKirk 25,656
Its a stand off between the board and manager.. He really cant say anything else or that would weaken his position..If ally is offered the 750k pay off at 2:30 tomorrow you wont see him in the dugout simple its now up to the board
OlegKuznetsov 10,816
Just saying he won't breach his contract, nothing to see here.Aye!Some people need to read beyond the headline. The headline is designed to grab the attention, often based on one quote, so as to be so misleading that you don't get the point.
OlegKuznetsov 10,816
I suspect if he'd come out and said I'm looking for a pay off as soon as I get that I'm away then there would be a thread where people would be throwing a use at him and moaning about that too.Showing a lack of commitment to the role might be deemed a contractual breach. All he has to say is that he fully intends to abide by his contract. And that's pretty much what he has said.
cushynumber 25,178
he is simply saying whats in his contract. Think about it - what else can he say?does he want full whack ? definitelyDo I think he will be here for that length of time? no chance.Do I think Ally uses the word "absolutely" way to much?Absolutely. mastauk 1
The worst part if he does see out his notice, it's not just this season, it's the start of next season too.

Rangers Raider 3
If he gets his 750K pay off then at least its a rangers man getting a pay off not money grabbers.
jackheid 8
The longer this impasse continues or even lack of action by the board to impose a solution, how long will it be until we are told we cannot service the infrastructure of the club including the running costs of Auchenhowie and in particular Ibrox. Bears r us 30,810
As many have said Ally is playing it out to the letter of the law. I do not think he will be here much longer, his position is getting less tenable by the day.
Burnbankblue 22
The balls in the boards court, Ally cannot leave without their consent and the board seem to be holding him to his contract when they should be getting rid of him now. It's up to the board to pay him off or place him on gardening leave. I'm really losing faith in the board over this fiasco. My faith in Ally went with the Alloa result.
