MAJOR changes are currently being implemented at Rangers, and while a lot of focus has been on the differences at first team level, the entire youth setup is also in the process of being overhauled.

From first-team to under-8 level, every Rangers team will now play a single formation with an emphasis on positive play at all times.

Thats linked to the way we are trying to play football now with our 4-3-3 formation and looking to dominate the ball.

Most formations under ally turned in to a 5-4-1

They always did, we seemed scared to batter teams.

Will be tough for Warburton as teams will sit in rather than attack not like at Brentford where both teams compete.

Hibs also have a press the ball high, pass from the back, play on the ground philosophy - some on here were absolutely drooling over it at the start of last season but looked how that worked out for them - all of those words are great but without winning will mean little.

Loving the overhaul of the youth style of play. Sounds like we have started to come into the 21st Century footballing wise, finally.

It's a great feeling. Obviously, time will tell if it is successful or not but it's exactly what a lot of us have been calling out for. Very happy.

Aye right you are. Let's stick with route one 4-4-2 in the first team and have youth teams that play totally different tactics and formations just because it didn't work out for Hibs (the same Hibs who actually won more league games than us, scored more goals than us, conceded less goals than us and finished higher in the table than us) last season.

These sort of fundamental changes are long overdue at the club and I for one am delighted that we have guys in charge who are quickly moving towards something that actually resembles a modern approach towards football as opposed to a manager who happily gave sound bites about being like Ajax to the press but actually did nothing to even try and implement anything like it and a youth supremo who seemed to have a fetish for size, strength and 'hitting the channels' over technical and footballing ability.

I get that you think our philosophy is 'winning' and I doubt you will find anybody who disagrees with that, but that doesn't mean we need to blindly stick to a stone age approach towards the game to achieve it.

Cost Ally his job.
