Congratulations To The Board

Recommended Posts

Still early doors but so far the board deserve congratulations for backing the manager.

They have identified targets and carried out the business to provide W&W with the squad they want.

Waghorn, Travernier, Kiernan, Wilson, Thomson, Lang, Wes, Eustace, Holt etc all either signed or under consideration.

Even warbara brought in, trial and not offered deal .

For first time in a while the club is sending positive messages out.

Keep it up.

The sleeping giant shall roar again..........very soon!!!

Don't forget wee Gibson brought up from non-league, although he and Lang were marked after trials last seasons. That's not me point scoring by the way.

Can we wait and see how good they are before getting all excited and congratulating the board. I doubt if many of us had heard of some of these players before the past few days.

We don't have to wait to congratulate the board, they've done their job as Warburton will testify. If it goes tits up then it's Warburton who will carry the can.

The board have spent our ST money wisely.

£600k or so of it.

Not the 30 million quoted but maybe we're stockpiling our cash. For years 2 3 or 4. Or maybe not.

The board do deserve credit for recruiting MW. That could be a masterstroke that could give us success whilst saving millions.

Spending wisely and off setting the damage to income from the sports direct retail deal.

We don't know how it will pan out yet but at least we are doing what the fans wanted and bringing in potential and younger hungry players that are not costing a fortune.

If it fails it was still the right thing to do.

Well done for the board keeping us out of the front pages and leaving the papers only talking about the football. I was critical of them but I expected them to leave egos behind and stand in the background, which is exactly what they have done.

£9 million of Season ticket money won't go far. IF additional funds come in it'll be subsidising the club towards the end of the season and probably on structural aspects of the club. I would guess.

Things are going well. The Board seems to be doing a good job overall.

How much per week do we think most of these guys are on?

How much have we saved on our wage bill compared to last season?

This is where the money will be saved or not as we might only have spent £600,000 but signing on fee's and wages will boost this figure. Not sure if king was including wages in his statement of what he's willing to spend.

Whether they do a good job or not, only hindsight will tell.

However they appear to actually be doing their jobs, which is a marked improvement on what we've been used to for years.

It's easy to be cynical after everything we've been through, but I'm optimistic we've finally found a path forward on and off the pitch.

600 thousand spent

Still another 29.4 million To go......

Maybe it's better to plead poverty and that way you get a better deal on players?

Look l don't know if DK has or is going to spend what he said but l'm happy that we are not paying has beens 10 grand a week anymore, its long overdue that we started to live within our means.

Congratulations to the board as by the looks of things for once in a long while we look like we have a man in charge who actually knows what he is doing on the park but the biggest thanks have to go to the fans who once again are getting behind the team and im sure they will have a season worthy of the great support.

When the board start spending money THEY have invested in the club, that will be the time to congratulate them.

Not when they are spending our investment IMO.

Not wanting to put a dampener on things as happy with the squad additions so far.

Just stating things as I see them at the moment
