This is the benefit of having a highly reputable youth facility & staff that run it.

Under previous managers & regimes we played at a youth system and the path to actually making it to 1st team football was stifled by the desire for "experience". Potential youth players wouldn't look at RFC because they would spend a couple of years fighting for 1st team action, never get it, then move on, having to rebuild their careers again.

Now, we have a very clear understanding of how our youth squad will benefit the 1st team, our manager has made clear his views that if you're good enough, you're old enough & that message is being made very clear to the youth players of other clubs looking in.

Now we are able to demonstrate a path to 1st team football, we are able to show that we can improve you as a player, we are able to show that, once again, The Rangers is a club with forward thinking ideas, modern training methods & place where youth will be developed.

To be fair he has giving McKay a starting place pretty much every week and also played hardie and Walsh before he was injured and has sent Murdoch Crawford and gasporotto on loan with the intention of developing them rather than just getting shot of them. Jordan Thompson has been on the bench a couple times too think we will see him soon. Anyone heard anything about that lad we signed from alvenchurch Gibson I think?

It's surprisingly not. Just a wee observation. Despite our team being its youngest for years only McKay and Wilson came through the ranks here. Maybe these kids aren't quite as good as many insisted they were.
