True Azure 1,414
Just wondering why the ref felt the need to stop the game for a couple of mins early in the first half and then later he spoke with the copper. Anyone know?

pcbear 10,924
I think he was concerned about the paper/debris on the park, that's what Tom Miller reckoned anyway.

True Azure 1,414
I think he was concerned about the paper/debris on the park, that's what Tom Miller reckoned anyway.I saw a couple of paper planes thrown from the Sandy Jardine Stand and some scrunched up black paper thrown on from the Broomloan but I would not have thought a ref would want a word with the polis for some bits of paper ffs? Clemdog 39,389
Only in Scotland can a few bits of paper mean the game being stopped continuously. The referee should have told the keeper to get on with it for fuck sake.

Carsons Army 4,146
I suspect it was because of people throwing paper on the pitch, No real issue,But it could possibly result in displays being banned,No idea why people feel the need to throw them onto the pitch. Agree 100%. Used to do my head in when the Union bears felt the need to fling toilet paper on the pitch every other week
Sparkle 53,845
It was a wee bit amusing the first time, but not worth inviting trouble over. You might see flares or broken seats at other grounds, but heaven forfend nasty sectarian paper planes, that's just too far!
Albertz_3 51
A steward came over to BF and told us that the ref was going to call the game off if the paper throwing had continued.

Evidently we have some easily amused types in attendance. I remember a few years back we were losing a match, running out of time and the game was being held up because of the amount crap being thrown, while we were trying to take a corner no less - that's the kind of mongoloids we're dealing with here. Courtyard Bear 41,357
Those big bad bigoted Ranger fans throwing bits of very dangerous and highly explosive paper about bloody deadly I tell you. A public enqiury is being arranged as we speak to deal with this problem.

Bearsden bear 2,376
Like others have said, if people continue to throw paper onto the pitch these displays wont be allowed. That would be such a pity.
