siamthedanger 2,857
Not enough potent threat from him, far too passive and seems to struggle with the Scottish game.
bluenoz 30,944
criticism is harsh. As an 18 yr old, his development is way ahead of most young players. motm against Brazil tell all.
gmcf 34,319
I thought he did ok today , without being great . But then neither was anyone else. We dropped points today because our passing was poor , particularly in the second half , and I wouldn't absolve anybody of that in the team today. ChampionsAgain 1,373
That sideways passing and never taking anyone on really halted Xav's progress. Think what he could've achieved but for all the sideways passing? Could've gotten right to the top... I'm not sure if serious...Xavi was the master of the final ball
ChesterPerry 472
I have been saying to myself for weeks "he just needs a run of games" but I'm not sure as like I said, been saying it for weeks. Commentator on RTV mentioned he got MoTM against Brazil for the USA. Would like to see that game if anyone has a link?

bluenoz 30,944
do we blame warburton then, continually playing a player that doesnt suit our system? In some ways I would agree with that. The problem with loanees is the pressure to play them. I don't think he does suit our formation despite being a great talent but its a system MW refuses to tweak. justiston 91
As people said, he looked pretty good in his first couple of games - more so at home with more space to play in. But he has been very poor ever since the St Johnston game, he is small/light but that shouldnt stop him from challenging someone. As folk have said, IF Law was fit, I would have him in instead of Zalalem. Not concerned about him going back to Arsenal. He may well become a great player, but this league/team/enviroment may not be for him.
ChesterPerry 472
Guy on here watched it and said he was pishHaha, the mallet has struck. I think he's got it in him, to be a great player. But to me when watching him he seems frightened and cautious.

markem 7,287
Nicky Law brings so much more to the midfield than Zelalem. Not sure he is up to the task of playing for such a massive club at this stage in his career. The bottom line is Nicky Law has never been anywhere near bad a player as some seem to think....imo. LegendofCoop 17,390
Whatever the reason...from the games I've seen...we simply don't click when he's in the team. As someone else mentioned, ever since the St Johnston game, he's struggled.
writingranger 1,423
I remember the same comments being made about Barry Ferguson. After a while he found his aggression & the route to goal. Zelalem may need to be used more sparingly though.

Would rather him out the team if Law is fit, but prefer him to Sheils!

No one is saying he hasn't potential/is a smart player, but he hasn't been benefiting us recently.

EPL clubs will only loan the best and brightest young players to teams where they think they will develop, not sit on the bench.

I'd probably say the same for Oduwa.
