tannerall 25,935
Just seen that when Sunderland and Norwich played each other in the Premier League on Saturday, they were also playing for the "Friendship Trophy". This trophy came about after Norwich had defeated Sunderland in the 1985 League Cup Final as a result of the cameraderie and friendship shown by the fans of both teams. Subsequently it has been awarded to the winner of Sunderland-Norwich games in the league and cup on a regular basis. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friendship_Trophy Following Sunday's fantastic semi-final, would you be keen to see a similar trophy called "The Scottish Friendship Trophy" being created, and contested for, by Rangers and cellic in memory of the similar respect shown by both sets of fans to each other ? Carling1873 1,404
Now a GRFUY Trophy would be in order, no need to spend big (Amazon bulk buy) and we could hand them out after every game.

There is already, well sort of, The Loving Cup is shared at Ibrox every year (or 2nd year) after the Nerday Rangers v Celtic game. The directors of both clubs share a wee dram of whisky out of it in the Blue Room after the game. It's been a traditional ritual for over 100 years. I'm sure they loved doing that
The Ibrox Derry 8,905
Personally if it was up to me, next time they do it I would lace the whisky with arsenic for those bastards Liewell and Desmond.

dummiesoot 16,006
Nice try Tannerall! The only trophy they should get is the golden broom for outstanding brushing under the carpet.
mo55 65
No stuff like that is just gay. No true fan is going to be happy that his team has won a friendship cup and is hugging the opposing fans instead of a rousing girfuy.

Iguana 31
In all seriousness it's this sort of shit that's ruining British football and has been for years, becoming the most family-friendly/fun for everyone event that you can enjoy with a hot dog or slice of quiche. Football should be a place where everyone can shout insults at the other fans safe in the knowledge they can't even hear you and everyone else is doing it (not tutting or shushing you). The good old days!
