Aye I can imagine, my old flute band played in the guards uniform, we were lucky if it was roasting we had shirts we could change into, big heavy bastards aswell the jackets.  Fuck knows how heavy yours would have been.

As a young Sergeant I had the pleasure of hosting the Band of the Irish Guards at a Freedom of St Tonis parade. After a few bevvies in the Mess prior to the parade, they beled the Sash out passing the saluting dais with the bass drummer giving it laldy.
