RFCRobertson 11,794
Quote MARK WARBURTON wants to offer veteran Rangers stars Kenny Miller and Clint Hill new deals. The experienced pair have only four months left on their contracts and SunSport can reveal Warbs is prepared to offer extensions to tie them down until the end of next season. It’s understood both Miller, 37, and Hill, 38, are eager to open talks about signing until the summer of 2018. Negotiations will start as soon as the Ibrox board sanction the move. Miller has been outstanding for Gers this season and arguably the team’s best player. He is also Warbs’ most trusted and respected pro behind the scenes. The former Scotland star plays a major part on and off the pitch and the Ibrox boss feels he’s earned a new contract. Hill was initially seen as a stop-gap defender, but his recent displays have convinced Warburton to extend his stay. Talks have NOT yet taken place with Gers potentially running the risk of losing the pair if they don’t start the ball rolling soon. Hill has been tipped for a return to QPR with clubs in the MLS believed to be keeping an eye on Miller. Warburton has spent this week in London as he tries to conclude deals to sign two players on loan. While two players could be checking in at Ibrox, several fringe players look to be on their way out. Michael O’Halloran could be set to go out on loan with a return to former club St Johnstone a possibility. Matt Crooks could also be allowed to join another club until the end of the season. TL:DR Hill and Miller are wanting to open contract extension talks O'halloran could be going on loan to St Johnstone Crooks could be going to another club
cushynumber 25,178
Our two oldest players. Also our top scorer and best defender.
lewisrfc93 470
To be fair they are the only 2 probably worthy of a new deal. Id also give big wes one when his is coming to an end.
K.A.I 36,183
Nothing against the two of them - they're two of the better players we have but I honestly think it might be a year too much for them (more-so Miller - although we've been saying that for a couple of years now, granted) Good news possibly getting Crooks and O'Halloran out the door. Hopefully the start of many.
The Ghost 431
Both probably deserve it too! Not sure that that's a great reflection on the rest of the team at the moment though.

PRW. 5,631
Good news. They're getting on to say the least but their performances this season have 100% earned them another deal. We just need to make sure that in the summer we sign players who are capable of replacing them.
chris182 6,534
Wouldn't be against it. Would bring some consistency and experience behind the scenes
kanjo 26,491
Ohalloran on loan would be a mistake. He is a decent sub if used properly.

harlands plater 17,169
A couple of old heads to have around the dressing room and to call on in emergencies as our young guns gain experience. Or the first two names on the team sheet next season as well?
sandyinroyalblue 16,478
I think Hill's contract extension has been forced on us given his form and the interest from QPR. Miller is a honest guy he will only sign another contract if he thinks he can continue to bring something to the team.
trueblueal 2,117
Rightly so, well earned by two proper pros who know how to play like men. We need the experienced ones to help toughen up our younger guys who are weak willed IMHO
BlueSuedeSambas 56,432
Why did we even sign O'Halloran?
Tenerife Bear 1,748
Extremely underwhelming. I appreciate experience and value in players with such experience but fuck me this is awful. Really really awful. If true of course. Never mind writing off £500k by sending MOH on loan. It's almost as if the manager is trying to get sacked. And rumours of loans, loans, loans. Sooner he and the board are chased the better i am afraid. We are going nowhere under these people. Absolutely nowhere.
Clemdog 39,389
Anyone moaning hasn't watched us this Season. Nobody could argue a one year extension to both.

Young Bob 1,360
To be honest I said on Saturday the two of them and Foderingham were the only players worth keeping.

Absolutely weird as fuck move by Rangers and our manager . Injuries to key players in next few months and will be crying out for him . There is no ends to the gaffs by MW And I see our ST will have to pay for any signings in Summer . King .Gtf you miserable bastard
StornowayBlue 630
Pleased to see that - if true. No complaints with either player and we see only a wee bit of what they bring to the squad. Worth every penny. Agree Wes to follow soon, what a difference in him with Gilks in the squad now. Good news.
Deanzmeanzheinz 4,312
This rules out any significant investment in my eyes. The smhellies are clode to signing a young ivory coast international for c. £3m and we are applying 2 sticking plasters to the spine of our team. In summary, King has bluffed his way into the Blue Room - where are we going???

Bears r us 31,350
I can just about understand the Miller & Hill extensions, but the MOH situation (if true) is very strange.
