I get what you're saying re their forwards, classy classy players but around that time when Italians needed a goal they'd turn to Inzaghi. Negri was a much better finisher than Inzaghi, who was also terrible at get caught offside and considering the very nature of Italian football that is astounding. True, their Euro 96 team (Which some considered the best team there, even thought they didn't win it) had Casiraghi, Chiesa, Del Piero (Alex Cleland is still at Ibrox park as we speak looking for the ball after his turn), Ravanelli, and Zola.
