Well he's been pretty awful the last few times he's had a decent run hence why he's now being farmed out on loan.

First instinct was good signing and upgrade on current keepers. But totally based on his previous form for the taigs.

Hopefully he's done and another bomb signing for Lennon

DR branding the loan signing of Forster as a ‘stunning’ transfer.

No doubt about it he was a good keeper when he was at them before, but not sure how the 3rd choice keeper at a lower end premier league team can be branded as stunning.

Boli Boli Mbiligongo will play less than 20 games this season.

I absolutely will never dedicate ten seconds of my life learning this guy’s name and how to spell it.

Been Um Bongo to me from day one and he’ll still be Um Bongo when he leaves at the end of the season or sooner.

To be fair, they also called that wishy-washy, speculative article about Kent a "big transfer exclusive". They just deal in page views and a headline about a 'somewhat unexpected but ultimately underwhelming transfer' is less likely to grab attention.

On paper he is an upgrade on Bain and Gordon, but not convinced he's anywhere near the level he was.

Not even sure he is on paper, heard comparisons re him with McGregor coming back to us, apart from ‘A McG’being a far more accomplished player the difference being by far the majority of his time down South McGregor was a no.1 keeper. Forster is being lauded on his previous time with celtic but judging by his glaring lack of game time and not even being 1st choice back up, his form would not appear to be what it once was. For the ‘cash rich’ club the claim to be.....

Mcgregor was player of the year at Hull in his final season and as you said 1st choice keeper for the majority of his time there is no comparison between the two.

He strengthens them, still a good keeper and an upgrade on Bain and Gordon.

He’ll be rusty as fuck, hopefully!

Won’t have the comfort of seven thousand beggars at his back to help him settle in, either (assuming he gets to play v us).

They’re stunned at the depth of the barrel the scum are scraping....

Foster is a massive upgrade for them sadly.

Sadly? He was a good shot stopper aye but we stuck plenty past him during Smith’s tenure and one of our current midfielders did so from 20+ yards out.

As others have said, he’s barely played any football the last few years and they’ll need more than him to plug the gaps in that abomination of a defence. They’ve went all out to bring him back and he still isn’t the best keeper in the league.

hes a good player, and a huge upgrade on bain for them. Gordon had barely kicked a ball when he went to them and he (was) a really good keeper for them, for a time.

a keeper relies on his defence though, and they are absolutely honking at the back so hopefully wont make too much a difference.
