There were a couple of the PS3 Tomb Raider games where I decided to get the platinum trophy (they only had about 16 trophies each so it was fairly easy) but I don't usually bother about 100% completion.

No trophies really don't mean much tbh, if you complete a game then that's that, hunting about trying to do every little thing to earn a gold trophy or 100 percent completion rate is a bit ridiculous unless of course you don't have a job or on long term sick.

The onky achievements I care about are ones tied to Xbox rewards.. And that's only cause I make money from that. 

Don't care about platinums or anything like that since there's actually no reward. I don't really consider it a metric for game completion either since alot trophies/achievements are just repetitive tasks or flat out busy work.

After seeing this thread I decided to get platinum trophy and 100% completion for Far Cry Primal. Felt a sense of achievement for about 2 minutes 😄

i'll try and platinum a game if it can be done on easy/normal without any extra playthroughs and no online trophies 

did skyrim not too long ago and trying to do horizon forbidden west but the fighting pits are a pain in the hole
