We are trying to get them in before they are worth 10 million, or more. Getting talent in for 1.5 million isnt a lot these days. Yea, yea, its a lot for us, but that doesnt mean that 1.5 automatically gets you a starter for us. I know we got Morelos for 1 million, but he wasnt meant to be a starter either. Players improve and this guy might just have a very high ceiling. This is the way we have to do things from now on. He is young, he is inexperienced, he’s raw and he is coming to a completely new country and culture. There’s going to be an adaption period, both in terms of getting him to the levels we require physically, and in his personal life too while he adapts to the city. Exactly this. People go on about how we are badly run, but the process of buying talent and developing it has to start at some point and sometimes its painful. But Im sure we will get there if we give it time. Im sure we will also get 1st team ready players, but we will have to buy these talents (for money!!!) every season.
