What's the script with this guys fitness? Likely to see him against Man United?

“The same with Hamza Igamane. He will not be ready to start. He’s never trained or played physically at this level. He comes out of a holiday too, so we need to build him up. We have other players like Connor Barron and Jefte who can get there faster.

Phil said he does not have the mentality to face a team of the statute of man u just yet. Going to give him minutes in the League cup against Elgin or Berwick to ease him in.

So it's 1 out n 1 in , but we spent 1.5m on someone that can't even get a run out in pre season friendlies

He's come from timbuktu playing against likely lower than Scottish 1st division players. Hell need time to get fit and bed in

Morelos came from Finnish football, was a starter pretty much straight away and was scoring goals straight away.

Wasn't planned as a starter, he was just clearly fit enough and good enough to be a starter for us at that time.

When Phil says he isn’t going to throw someone in he usually doesn’t though

The thing is.. We are now looking at talent in different markets. We are trying to get them in before they are worth 10 million, or more. Getting talent in for 1.5 million isnt a lot these days. Yea, yea, its a lot for us, but that doesnt mean that 1.5 automatically gets you a starter for us. I know we got Morelos for 1 million, but he wasnt meant to be a starter either. Players improve and this guy might just have a very high ceiling. This is the way we have to do things from now on. Once we have done it for a few years, these players will get the time to get up to speed.

Think the Finnish top division is definitely a level or two above the Moroccan League.

Clement is probably just trying to lower expectations and pressure on the boy in the short term, but considering we gave him a five year deal we obviously see him as a long term investment.

He is young, he is inexperienced, he’s raw and he is coming to a completely new country and culture.

There’s going to be an adaption period, both in terms of getting him to the levels we require physically, and in his personal life too while he adapts to the city.

Igamane was always likely to be the third choice striker this season tbh.

If that’s the case then we are well and truly fucked because 1.5 million just about gets you a Theo Bair these days.

Doesn't even get you Yang for them and he's shite.

People need to start understanding how football has changed, we've bought this guy at the price as we believe he can develop in to a player worth a lot more. We could probably get a more first team ready striker for less who was already at their ceiling.

Shit thing being we actually need a good few new signings (1st team ready players) to stand any sort of a chance this coming season.

There has to be a model for selling players on at a profit granted, longterm. But it's the here and the now also that counts.

The end of this boys 5 year contract they could be 4 titles in front. Fuck that! :vomit::

Clement has spoken about how ideally he would be signing players for the here and now, but ultimately we have had to change policy (rightly) because signing lots of bad and overpriced players supposedly for the here and now is why we are in the mess we are currently in.

He's already going to offer more than what Roofe did the last two seasons so I think it is an upgrade on what we had last season.

Exactly this. People go on about how we are badly run, but the process of buying talent and developing it has to start at some point and sometimes its painful. But Im sure we will get there if we give it time. Im sure we will also get 1st team ready players, but we will have to buy these talents (for money!!!) every season.
