Going by the Norwegian league table, I guess it's the way the ties should have played out.

This Ajax - Panathinaikos penalty shootout is mental

Goalies have had to take penalties as well. 12-12 now :D

edit: Brobbey misses his second penalty of the shootout, what the fuck.

Ajax then go through, 13-12

How do figure that? Killie are bottom of our table!

After 2 games. They're clearly not going to end up there though, are they?  Not to mention game 1 was against celtic and game 2 was with 10 men after 16 minutes.

Brann are 3rd and Tromso are 13th a point off the bottom after 18 games.

Got to be fancying their chances against Minsk, especially since they've just been beat off Red Imps.

Would be some achievement, getting to the Group stages.

Not sure if games would have to be played at Windsor, tonight's wasn't.

I remember as a kid going to see Ballymena United play Roma at the Showgrounds in the European Cup Winners cup. Edge of the pitch was used for stock car racing track every week as well

When was the last time a team from NI had a 'good' showing in Europe? Obviously that's subjective

Honestly don't remember mate, certainly not Linfield. The teams from the South have a better record this past while, Shamrock Rovers etc.  But years ago you got the big draws, as it wasn't like the CL now. If you won the league or cup, you were in the draw, that was it, getting whomever. Like i remember as a kid going to see Glentoran playing Juventus (when Juventus were a top, top team) just because it was Juventus.

Yeah, can remember Shamrock and Dundalk making groups, one got Spurs and the other Arsenal.

Did Linfield not fuck it against someone in the play off round a few seasons ago, and go out on away goals?

Could well have, can't remember, just know no one has qualified to the Groups.

Shamrock Rovers won tonight in the Europa, St Pats in the Conference.
