Are know the club aren’t now, but to make serious money and become a challenger in a bigger pool, is it in the clubs interest to make the switch?

The blocker is see is that the Turkey’s down south won’t vote for Christmas.

The time to move south was 25 years ago. It's never happening so there's no point in talking about it

Quick question - Why doesn’t Rangers have a series of investors wanting to throw money in?

Because all your buying just now is A stadium that’s difficult and costly to expand the capacity ,  a training ground, a trophy room with a lot of history , a squad of mediocre players , everything else needs gutted and replaced from top to bottom. Also fuck knows what legacy issues the club has as we’re in court more than some lawyers lately

Ok, all fair responses so far.

So what’s the answer to put the club back at the top winning trophies?

If investment is unlikely and taking a chance outside of the Scottish league system if off the cards, what’s the steps to move forward, because what is happening is complete dominance from the other end of the city?

Get recruitment right and hope we do better.

The only way to improve is improving on the pitch. Recruitment is the single most important thing and it's the area we have failed the most on.

Ffs, King now happy with best in class Bennett.

Looking for his way back onto the board king.

As for pulling together. Our support has backed the club time and time again. The only reason we have a challenging period ahead is because of these complete incompetents who have made bad decision after bad decision.

Yes I did wonder if he is trying to get back on the board.

Absolutely, he has no right to be telling fans about backing the Club, it is not ordinary fans who have fucked up everything over the last few years, that is for sure.

King claiming the support hasn't pulled together is a complete contradiction considering it was the fans pulling together than got him back into Ibrox in the first place. Maybe if you, Bennett and Park stopped acting like 5 year olds, prepared the club properly post 55 then we might not be in this predicament

The support are the only good thing about this club at the moment. These cunts running the club are doing their best to alienate us even further. This board are that far removed from reality that I can genuinely see huge prices for our Europa League campaign.

I've said it and I will continue to, every singe decision they make, seemingly ends up the wrong one. Even things like that. We'll end up paying over 200 for 4 EL games which considering the utter nonsense we've had to pay for lately, is a complete slap in the face

He's absolutely looking for a way back onto the board.

Read some quotes from the interview he's done. Basically says our decline is self inflicted but we need to pull together to get through it.

No Dave what we need is competent individuals to be appointed instead of doubling down on the same idiots who have shown they aren't up for the job.

Because Rangers isn't making money. It's not an attractive investment

Because there's no real money to be made for the kinda guys we need, Rangers is a labour of love, our best bet is to find Rangers men with serious money, but even then, we couldn't just spunk £30/40/50m on the team like Greame Souness was waffling on about on TalkSport the other day.

The UEFA FFP rules coming into play next season means if we tried to level up with the tims by dramatically overspending, we'd likelihood get a fine of the same figure back from UEFA, so a £30m overspend would become a £60m cost when you add in the 100% fine we'd be likely to receive, no legitimately smart businessmen are touching that, and that's why I can't see any businessmen other than richer Rangers fans than the ones already running the club, being our only way out of this fiasco.

The only realistic way out of this mess is with our recruitment, in the next two years we need to be looking at improving and moving on guys like Cortes, Diomande, Sterling, Yilmaz, Bijrami, Raskin and Igamane, using that money to reinvest into the next batch of talent, hopefully a level or two up from where the current batch are, that's the only realistic way we'll start competing again.

Smart recruitment and regular CL football makes money. You don't need massive funds. The recruitment style we claim to want makes money. The issue is we don't do it.

Only get CL football if we give the players time to develop, that means putting up with setbacks, we're a long way off winning the League and 2nd place won't be getting CL qualifiers from now on, so patience is going to have to be required, to allow the manager to coach these players into a league winning team.

It's a whole knew ball game from the one we all grew up watching.

Yeah! It's not an overnight thing. It should have started with the sale of Morelos and Kent, it didn't. It should have started with the sales of Patterson and Bassey, it didn't and it's just back to square one

Agreed, and that's where we as fans need to draw a line in the sand, because we can't keep sacking managers, we need to find someone we can trust to develop the players and allow them leeway when things aren't going well, because development comes with setbacks.

I don't know if Clement is that man, but if the club truly believe he is, and there's clear improvement in those young players, then we can't turn on him if he's not winning Honours in the immediate future, we've fucked things up so badly that the only realistic way out of this is long term planning  while also accepting we'll have plenty of potential for short-term pain.

Indeed, we need competent people at the Club running it, not yes men who do what Bennett wants.
