ready1873 3,941 Posted Saturday at 20:36 Share Posted Saturday at 20:36 I had a pint with Jonathan Johannsen in the Seamill Hydro hogmanay 2009 just as the bells were due. Good guy loves the Rangers. HG5

We need a long term plan put in place or we’re going to be an afterthought of this league within the next decade. The events of 2012 gave them both trophies and the financial boost to enable them to speculate with recruitment while we make panicky decisions and still live beyond our means. Every year they fail in Europe but still earn far more season after season so the trend continues.

Was the spit of the cunt that used to run us to the games in his Sherpa van Used to see him after games, stuck in the traffic at the top of the Broomloan, same as us, in his wee car, think it was a mini metro, or something very unfootballer like! The Ibrox Derry 9,220 Posted Sunday at 09:23 Share Posted Sunday at 09:23 Charbonnier was a great keeper, but he had that mad Grobellar esque streak about him aswell, and was always capable of doing something a bit nuts. But, from memory, never let us down. HG5

He was very unlucky to lose a deflected goal against Bayern Munich...that was a sickener to say the least. HG5
bluenose244 2,652 Posted Tuesday at 10:17 Share Posted Tuesday at 10:17 Thread had me looking back at that great 99/00 team at work last night and got me thinking what would be the best Rangers XI of the 21st century and how would they be set up. Went for this I think it has everything, strength, power, mentality, goals, cool heads, technical ability and above all winners! Thoughts? Who would you swap out? But in all honesty I can't get past thinking that even if I could pick any player of the last 24 years I'd still take the below if Walter was in charge. I remember singing "Lionel Charbonnier" to the tune of "Les Marseillais", and once when he pulled off a tremendous save, the PA playing "Les Marseillais" during the game, only time I've ever heard that happen during a match before. Then he got injured, Klos came in and that just restricted his opportunities. The Ibrox Derry
