Getting Closer

DAMARCUS BEASLEY hopes to make a playing comeback before the season ends after he returned to Murray Park this week.

The American winger has been out of action for the last four months because of a serious knee injury he suffered against Stuttgart in November.

Beasley collided with the German side's goalkeeper Rafael Schaaf in the second half of Gers' 3-2 Champions League defeat at the Gottlieb-Daimler Stadion and was stretchered off.

It had been expected that the 25-year-old would not return to training until pre-season after a comprehensive rehabilitation programme.

But the former PSV Eindhoven star is making excellent progress and feels he could be ready to start playing again sooner than anticipated.

Beasley has spoken exclusively to Rangers TV about returning to Scotland and you can hear what he had to say to them at 7.30pm tonight.

Rangers World subscribers can also see the interview this evening from 9pm onwards.
