Boab 73
Bresciano has been linked with a summer exit from Palermo for several weeks now, and over the weekend it was reported that Rangers wanted to sign the Australian. The Scottish giants have money to spend following the recent sale of star man Carlos Cuellar to Aston Villa. The Gers have already spent some of this money on Portsmouth’s Pedro Mendes, but they need to strengthen further to make up for the loss of Cuellar, who was absolutely outstanding last season, being named Scottish Player of the Year. Bresciano seems to fit the bill perfectly, and according to reports in Italy, Rangers and Palermo representatives will meet up tomorrow to begin negotiations concerning the transfer. The 28-year-old has been at Palermo since arriving from Parma in 2006, but he has been associated with an exit repeatedly over the past 12 months or so. He was close to leaving for Great Britain last summer in order to join Sven-Goran Eriksson’s Manchester City, but the transfer fell through at the last minute. Rangers are said to be prepared to pay €10m, and Palermo are likely to accept if this offer was tabled. Bresciano has won 42 caps for the Australian national team, and will be on duty for his country in midweek in the friendly against South Africa. californiadreamin52 339
pleasantly surprised to see were still after him or is it just a plot to get the tims to sign him, but can`t see us spending 10m Euros while were still looking to spend on a CB
Chef 436
10 million euro, wasat 5 mill pound
BritishBear 34
It's shite, no way 10 million euros which unfortunately we all know is £7.8 million. Another CB, clear out some dead wood and that is more than enough new players, if we can move even more players on in Jan we might get a RB in. Amac9 2,060
Can't see this happening tbh. We already have Thomson, Ferguson, Mendes, Davis, Edu. Maybe he is being linked incase Edu does not get a work permit
BillyBoyBlue 0
Fcuk me!! 7 Strikers and now all these midfielders!!!!! Good bit of business if we sign him!!! Mendes = Flair and creative play Aaron = Pace and set piece specialist Davis = Attacking midfielder with skill Bresciano = Midfield goalscorer No more negativity in this rangers midfield!!!!!! *falls off chair*
Guest therabbitt
I'd suggest and agree with the sentiments that this article is old news. The signing of Edu should surely have put to bed any signing of Bresciano?
RangersJamie52 0
There must be some truth in it...I personally would love him to sign!
ricksen_da_best 2,034
Goal is as reliable as wikipedia. Crespo is signing for Celtic according to it.
Jardy 0
surely that price cant be accurate.
Polo 1,433
surely that price cant be accurate. Most reports have it as £4m. The Football Italia website quoted it as £8m on Friday. Maybe they've just lifted it from there.
bombaybadboy08 15,660
Goal is as reliable as wikipedia. Crespo is signing for Celtic according to it. Iv found it unreliable too,i can mind them calling Kenny Miller a hitman

bombaybadboy08 15,660
Do we actually need him?MendesThomsonFergusonEduHemdaniDavis Na id be very surprised if he signed,Davis i heard was back up if Bresciano didnt sign and i read stories saying he would only move to premiership and hey presto Davis and now Edu have signed,i think the deals dead IMO
Frankie 505
With Davis and Edu signing and another centre-half on the way, I'd be astonished if we signed Bresciano now as well. Even in the unlikely event we do, it would not be for anywhere near €10million anyway as the player is in the last year of his contract.
