Seems a bit strange that there hasn't been a thread started already about this, our captain reaching a big milestone, but I suppose that's just a reflection of the mixed feelings about Tav throughout the forum. In days gone by and with previous captains this thread would be pages long and full of thankful wishes and positive posts.
I guess I'll start by saying congratulations Tav. Great achievement to reach 250 games and as was mentioned on the commentary yesterday his goals and assists stats over those games are fantastic for a right back. Barely misses training session or a game and although he's had his ups amd downs, as every player does, I don't think anyone can argue that he's been a brilliant signing considering the 250k we paid.
Great to see him get on the scoresheet yesterday to mark the ocassion and in my opinion he's started the season pretty well. Obviously part of a defence yet to concede domestically and still offering goals, assists and a general attacking threat as he has done since he joined, perhaps without hitting the heights of his first season or 2.
I've made my feelings pretty clear in the past about his captaincy but I really hope we see him lifting silverware above his head at the end of the season.

    Another 3pts.
    Another clean sheet.
    4 different scorers.
    Get fucking in.
Special mention to Davis, superb today. Arfield looked really good when he came on.
Probably the worst 4-0 possible though.
Hopefully Jack and Balogun are just niggles.
Fingers crossed for Buff, maybe not as bad as a stretcher would suggest.

    Some quotes from Wiki

    Quotes
"I stayed away from him as much as possible!" – David Beckham recalls a match against Fulham during his loan spell at Preston North End[30]
"Some of us [Millwall players] were playfully goading Terry about what he was going to do to Vinnie Jones in the upcoming fixture with Wimbledon. Without saying a word, he got up from the table and walked to the entrance of the pub and ripped the door off its hinges" – Millwall teammate Tony Cascarino[30]
"Absolute hero. He was a very, very hard player, but a very, very intelligent player" – Millwall supporter Bob Crow[4]
"Intimidating? He just had to growl at the opposition and they'd be scared, but he was also a decent player" – Millwall teammate Teddy Sheringham[31]
Q: "What's your favourite animal?" A: "Terry Hurlock" – Millwall teammate Neil Ruddock[32]
"Hurlock was like Michael Bolton crossed with a pit-bull and was brought in to add some bite to the Saints midfield" – Chris Rann, Metro[33]
"I'd come here (Brentford) as a young professional and he just epitomised it. He was just a leader and I only thought – if I could emulate this fellow. He'd get press for his ruggedness and tough tackling, but he could play. Week in, week out, year after year Tel was ripping up trees for Brentford. He was a great player. If you're a poor player you aren't going to go on and play for Glasgow Rangers" – Brentford teammate Terry Evans[34]

Based on yesterday’s game alone, I thought Hagi had a shit game. Ok , scored a goal but gave the ball away a lot and against better opposition we could have been punished for it. Barker might not be the answer but other players that are game changers need to start performing on a more consistent and regular basis.

Barkers been shite. But probably as effective if not more than Hagi who's again been poor(tap in aside)

I suppose I could have said this in any of the other Morelos threads on the go but I'm at the point where I'm happy for him to stay (provided he knuckles down and get's his form back) but wouldn't be upset at him leaving (provided it's 17/18/19/20-million)
    I'm honestly fine with either.
The only thing I don't want is this grey area in the middle where he wants away, no suitable offer reaches us and all season we've got a patchy Morelos who's form is on/off and only worth 4 or 5-million.
Worst of both worlds and it could happen.

On BBC Alba.  No doubt the one most of us have seen before, but still worth a watch even if you have seen it. Not really much footage of Slim Jim around anywhere so always worth watching when you can👍

Despite how well McGregor has played for us the last two Seasons, I'd hope McLaughlin is now our No1.
So refreshing having a keeper who can command his box, play well with the ball at his feet and recycle the ball as quickly as possible.
This could change if McLaughlin's shot stopping is called into question, but right now I can't see any reason for this to change.
