Amazing what happens if you play a Striker who is built like a fridge up front instead of out wide

There have been many cases over the years which highlight the fact that we never seem to be able to get the best out of players. In fact, in some cases we seem to actually destroy potential and/or make players worse. Not having the fans booing you and slagging you off probably also helps.

The irony here (and I may be alone in this comment) is that Morelos looks okay running in from the right and taking players on ... in that role Waghorn wasnt as good at.

Had a look at their squad, Cardoso is at 27 caps so rejected it purely because of that

Does that automatically mean the board will suddenly invest and show ambition? We have been told we are 'nearly there' and have now ran with the 'top scorers in Scotland' bullshit line, which is embarrassing to use here never mind when you are Dave King.
Key players for next season are pretty poor options, not every signing will be a good one, the depth is shocking, it's the correct call to expect the board to invest further and consider this only the middle of what needs done in this window.
History shows that we over-rate signings and current players, under-sign, under-invest and naively sit in denial until we are ripped apart and the club is left financially fucked with a squad that needs rebuilded, this will be worse than ever before if anything goes wrong this season so I believe its correct to pile on the pressure and cut the bullshit for once.

Its been a problem since this board took over blowing money on shit managers and average players then the inevitable payoffs.

Points wise we weren't far away had we won some 'easy' home games to leave us a couple of points off the top. Had we also beat the scum we could have been top.
But your right in that we flattered to deceive. Were never good enough to really think about winning it.

We were never anywhere near the title, summed up the overexcitement and wishful thinking we do best
Expecting a team that was unbeaten the year before to magically lose a superior goal difference and several games in a row while we go on a stomper of a run

Our best attacking player by some distance is a RB who will cost us several more goals this season at the other end, we scored 3 more than a celtic team that wasn't statistically much better than it was under Mowbray.

celtic will bust a gut to absolutely finish us this season and there is zero chance they will be complacent, it's head in the sand stuff to suggest journeymen like Candeias and extremely inconsistent talent like Windass and Morelos will get anywhere near the depth and quality they have, our attacking options are bench players in ideal circumstances and it's just idiocy to suggest otherwise.
Our attack has been shocking when it's actually mattered, I don't know when it's going to sink in that we play absolute shite most weeks to the point that guys like Boyd (now) and Boyce have coasted it in recent seasons, that's why we continually beat poor sides and go on a small run, get over-excited in time for an OF then get another wake up call.
We have two CB's and one has been described as a 'baby' who needs eased in, so the defence is vastly over-rated until proven otherwise for a prolonged period of time when it matters.
Gerrard has inherited a mess, I'm happy with this being a season of transition from his point of view, but the boards investment has been average at best and they will cut corners to save money without a shadow of a doubt.
Mark my words by the end of this season those in denial will have nowhere to hide when it's plainly obvious serious investment and ambition is needed and that we have very, very few players who should even be in a Rangers squad.

As it stands just now a distant second and fighting for 2nd/3rd but we will just hang on to 2nd.
Need 2/3 top level creative/forward players

I have no idea whether we will sign anymore players or not after what he said, but after the time he has been chairman he has to stop this 'bad boy did it and ran away' shite.
The only person who is responsible for all the situations he is in is himself, most of us can see past the nonsense he spouts every few months, we just want a winning team on the pitch and to be able to buy kits. Not too much to ask after three years IMO.

It's little to do with long term injuries and match sharpness, it's the type of player he is (even fully fit) he's not a creative player.
You can't play a midfield with the likes of Jack and McCrorie in it, it stiffles creativity. You can get away with 1 or the other against better teams but not both - especially against weaker teams.

4 windows in a row that's been the talk, we'll see how much they invest, it's nothing to do with Gerrard.
It won't happen as things stand and we will be in for a shock at the end of the season.

Not a big fan so far. Reminds me of Zelalem a bit.
Doesn't do bad on the ball, just cumbersome, no urgency.
He won't do much in Scotland - wait until he comes up against some cloggers and he will go into hiding.

Those comments in bold worry me if I'm honest. I said when he arrived there's certain players he's talking about keeping that should be cashed in or gotten rid of and got told he actually means something else etc etc.
He is genuinely under-estimating what he/we need. We look the same as we always have with the exception of maybe being tighter at the back.
We don't have the players in midfield or upfront to go toe to toe with celtic and that's what we should be aiming for. It will be a long season unless some good money is spent middle to front. I'm calling it now.

No investment from him to date. He's has loaned money but is it the 50m or 30m initially quoted? No.
Investment issue hindered by lack of the Nomad that was lined up on day 1 he said. Recent share offer to raise millions has fell by the wayside.
ST money used to pay off failed managers he hired. We'll ignore the manager he offered job to who rejected him.
We STILL can't buy strips but it's someone else's fault, nothing to do with the terms of the contract he signed.
    Snaffled 500k of RFFF monies.
Playing the victim of TOP action, when it's pretty blatant he ignores legislation.
The biggest winners to date have been those who facilitated his gaining control: Fury, Brown, Houston, Marshall.
He's pulled off a masterstroke in SG, as over 90% of fans were happy compared to unhappy with all other names linked. We then have to back him to challenge a club in a position of strength with CL revenues, and have done so to the extent of approx 5 or 6m so far. Less than the scum have spent on one player this window.
If King was a manager of ours, he'd have sacked himself by now for woeful performance.
Hopefully he'll do similar to himself as chairman, or it's done for him at AGM because his toxicity, lies, failings and bullshit are crippling us.
