Definetley mate at 34 he'll still score 15/20 goals a season with the right service. Guys an absolute machine.

In other news 2 Chinese clubs are ready to bid 25m+ for Eva Banega from Inter Milan. I'm waiting for a Chinese team to offer us 15m for Tav

West Ham getting desperate.

SUnderland would be mugs to sell the only player who can keep them up. He'd be worth more than £20 million if his goals kept them safe and he's the only one who scores for them.

Were linked with literally every striker going in the summer.

As much as I'm hating these Chinese clubs spending insane amounts, you've got to laugh at the journos and fans down south shouting about it ruining the game.

Utter hypocrisy

During every transfer window Sky Sports News gloat about how much is being spent in the EPL.  Now they're getting a taste of their own medicine and all of a sudden money is ruining the game.  Pathetic.

Must've been good luck or a good scout cos he's got our team filled with shite.

Or it could be that he was allowed much more time to focus on developing players at Brentford as their demands are not as high as ours.

Everton spend £11 million on a 19 year old from Charlton who has scored 10 professional goals in his whole career, 8 of them this season.

Aye the chinese are ruining football right enough:Zzz:

Trouble is that's a low gamble for them. £11 million is buttons in England now, the equivalent of spending a 2 or 3 million 5 years ago with the new TV deal.

Yup. It really is grim reading for most of the rest of European football when Everton are spending £11 million on a kid and West Ham asking Sunderland to name their price for 34 year old Defoe:megaanguish:

Despite his age Defoe remains one of the best goalscorers in the league so can see why a struggling team would be willing to splash out
