STATEMENT | Hibernian FC V The Rangers Supporter Safety 

We have it on authority that certain factions of The Rangers support are fully intent on targeting Hibernian supporters in retaliation for the events of May 21st 2016. This may include physical and verbal attacks in and around Glasgow city centre and the stadium itself.

We urge all Hibernian supporters traveling by private transport to Ibrox to use the free and exclusive parking made available in the away car park on Broomloan Road which is just a short distance from the ground. If you are travelling to Glasgow by train, we highly recommend you avoid the subway system at all costs and use a taxi and in groups where possible.

Please be advised that missiles including coins, pies, drink and glasses have been known to be thrown from all stands housing The Rangers supporters on previous visits. You will be also be subjected to the usual tirade of abuse and sectarian singing. 

We strongly advise that all Hibernian supporters attending this fixture to record any incidents witnessed both outside and inside the ground. This includes the recording of stewards and police, who have failed repeatedly to protect Hibernian supporters. Please make sure when filming stewards and police that badge identification can be seen clearly. 

Can we please ask that you share this information with as many friends and family traveling to the match as possible. Hibernian FC is a family (see image), and we must do all that we can to protect each other.
