There’s no doubt in my mind at all that if the right ex celtic player became available and Gerrard thought they could do a job for us he wouldn’t even hesitate for a second to sign them.

We signed Mo Johnston and we signed Kenny Miller so it’s not like the toothpaste isn’t already out of the tube for want of a better term.

Yep the boat has well and truly sailed on that one.

If Gerrard thinks Armstrong can do a job for us, we will do a deal if possible.

I think it's a lazy rumour just playing on Wilson's Southampton connections myself.

Apparently Wilson has asked to be informed if Armstrong becomes available. So says a mod on FF

Arfield isn’t good enough and the Jury is still out on Aribo.

These players, as a team, have had two seasons now and no trophy and miles off the tarriers in league.

Quality in middle to front is required.

50k has been spent on transfer fees for central midfielders since the manager arrived .

That's the area that lets us down time after time.

Must change this summer

Hopefully we are looking to spend decent money on these areas, especially the midfield.

We've hardly spent in midfield. It's been loans, frees and it's showed.

We need players that go straight into the first 11 and knocks existing players down to sqaud options.

I think Jack has the quality to play holding midfield . I don't think we need a holding midfielder.

More box to box and flair players required in that area imo.

Jack is far better as a box to box player than a holding player imo. Whether he can keep the effort up across the season in that position with his knee is another question.

I don’t think Gerrard has quite worked out who plays best in the three roles yet. Davis is the passer sure, but so is Kamara. Jack is sometimes the runner, sometimes the tackler. Aribo is sometimes the runner, sometimes the passer.

With Hagi in I hope we play him in the midfield three or we change shape and play 4-2-3-1.

Not sure how to feel about Kamara, he seems all too predictable now with all the wee turns he does when he receives the ball. Puts us in danger a lot of the time as he ends up losing possession

Going off glenn far to laidback doesn't contribute enough imo chance creation or goals.

I don’t rate him in the sense of him being a footballer for us in Scotland.

I think he’s a technically excellent footballer, maybe the best in the squad behind Hagi, but yeah he’s too slow on the ball and I think his decision making isn’t great under pressure sometimes.

He is outstanding though for Finland and I think he would do very well elsewhere. There’s a reason why a number of European clubs were looking at him.

I really rate Aribo though. I think he’s a great find for us and he’ll kick on.

Kamara has looked fantastic for us in Europe tbh because, as you say, it's a different type of game. He can then have time to pass, hold the ball and basically just think.

He doesn't really get that luxury in Scotland.

That's why him and Hemdani are very similar for us. Good in Europe, not so good in the SPL - for the same sort of reasons.

Don’t know if this is a fair observation but I think one of the major issues with our 1st XI is that a number of our key players like Tav, Barisic, and Morelos are all in some ways confidence players.

Tavs shite, Morelos is shite every season after Christmas and Barisic is a shitebag I’d get rid of the three of them if the money is right.

We only have one player that has any real CDM  experience and that's Polster. No really seen him in there so canny judge whether he is up to the job.

Regardless I  would like to see us sign  someone who can really impose themselves on that area of the park and be the guvnor, preferably captain too.

Got to no just be a midfield enforcer too, has to have the technical ability and passing  to run the game .

Min. 6'2" to protect the CBs as and when required

Would push the boat out to secure someone with experience

Jack plays better when Davis not in team.

Jack and Kamara play better when together in a two.

Ross County away, Hibs away and Tarriers in cup final Jack was head and shoulders and team far more fluent.

If Tav is at the club and captain the start of next season we may as well hand the title to them. We are going nowhere with his losers mentality.

Wilson said quality over quantity, Scott Allen won’t be making a move to us.

Allen and Gerrard said the same thing last summer and look what happened more quantity.

We need Wilson and Gerrard to follow thorough with that quality this summer. Hagi is a start but more needed.

6'2" would rule out Souness,McCall,Hurlock and Ian Ferguson they could tackle and play but would be too short for you.
