Instead of some negativity in down-playing the opposition how about some positivity in our own play? In terms of chances and twice hitting the woodwork we could have scored 4 or 5 tonight.

One thing I will say is we need to play with a bit more confidence from the off. It’s like we spend 25/30 minutes shitting ourselves from the opposition and the ball before we realise we’ve been awful and they’ve not actually done much then start playing

Can’t believe i’m saying this but gutted the Internationals are over.

I’m not backing him, have harshly criticised how we’ve looked under him for months. Didn’t want any of the new signings except Danilo (including Butland but got that one wrong) and have said repeatedly I’m not sure I can get on board with his idea of good football.
But - with a calmer head I think it’s fucking ludicrous to get rid of a manager so soon after the turnover we’ve had. Particularly given I think the quality of candidates to replace him will be very low.
Lets see what he can do in the international break, if there’s no improvement within 1-2 months then make the call.

I don’t see it with Raskin.  He gives the ball away in some really stupid situations.
 
The only players I feel a shred of sympathy for are Butland and possibly Danilo. The latter needs more than being thrown on in desperate last 20 mins to show his quality.  His movement looked good.  Im also raging that Beales tactics seem so basic.
 
However, with all of the above said - if Roofes goal isn’t wrongly chopped off then we are having a very different conversation right now.  That decision was utterly fucking ridiculous.

Yes the players deserve their fair share of criticism for passing up god knows how many chances but Don Fucking Robertson and Allan Muir on the VAR are an utter disgrace.  That Roofe goal stands and we're having a very different conversation right now.

To be fair I expected not to go through last night, and if that was the case losing by the odd goal in 90 minutes would have been brilliant. PSV were the better team over both legs but how many of us didn’t think when Tav scored we could do it. Losing the third goal destroyed the game, the collapse after that was poor but I still think we are on the right path for what is going to be our level. If the lads can bounce back on Sunday and beat celtic well this could be a good year.
We have just got to hope they have the character to do that and not do the screaming fit that seems to be the case on football forums.

Bookies odds tells me it’s a tough ask. I’ll be pleased if we play well and give them a good game. A win would be an incredible result.
