  1. Cracking player. We have the basis of a title winning team. McGregor, Goldson, Tavernier, Barisic, Jack, Arfield, Candieas, Kent, Morelos... Add to that with a couple more bits of quality, keep them fit and available we'll win the league this year or next.
  2. Outstanding last night bar the finish, another night he scores 4. Best striker in the league.
  3. He is just a magnificent bastard. I haven't been this proud of any of our managers like this since Walter. He gets it.
  4. Youth option? Mebude perhaps? Doubt it but an option.
  5. We need a run of wins, too often in recent seasons we would drop unnecessary points both home and away against sides we should be beating. Obviously we're a better side this season, with a better squad of players to rotate. Although with European fixtures aswell, it makes these Sunday fixtures tougher. We have made a great start to the run convincing against Dundee and St Johnstone yesterday, but Livingston will make it tough this weekend and then for me the big one is the game against Hearts. If we go into the next international break with 12 points from 12, make no qualms about it, the title is on.
  6. Optimistic 2nd. Just glad we've got this to look forward to.
  7. Want Mcgregor to win, regardless of who he supports. Always been a fan.
  8. The title talk is still very very premature at the moment. I'd rather compare us to last year and build on that. Comparing us to a side that was on for 3 in a row, played in the Champions League etc isn't a fair assessment, because there's no argument. We could just as easily go out in the Europa Playoffs, lose to celtic and the come off the rails completely as we could go on to challenge for the title. I'm as excited as ever with this squad but expectations and targets still need to be tamed until team can prove they can at least beat them.
  9. That Bremen save really was something else.
  10. Be watching on Rangers TV currently outside the UK so won't need the vpn.
  11. Ludacris if you don't think Morelos hasn't improved since his arrival. Morelos the last 5 games is the best he's been. Do I think he's worth £20m? No. But he shouldn't be valued at around £2m. Clearly the board agree by laughing off the £3.75m bid. He worth £1m playing in a true backwater league in Finland, the last 12 months or so he's played in a league that's broadcast far more than the Finnish league, he's scored goals in Britain which automatically puts your value up and regardless of what people think of our league its a proven stepping stone for alot of players to the riches of the Premier League down south. Those facts alone increases his value well over £2m as stated. £6-8m is his realistic valuation, however due to his importance and lateness of the window, I'd be wanting an extra £4m ontop of that to be letting go one of our more important players with little time to replace him with equal quality.
  12. Reckon the board would accept anything in the region of £6m.
  13. Not at this stage of the season. If you gave me £8m + Solanke before Skuphi I'd have accepted. Solanke for his high profile is a relative unknown quantity in terms of playing week in week out. Can't be going into the rest of the season relying on him.
  14. I would knock any bid regardless of the amount from Bordeaux for their sheer audacity to bid for a player the night (or run up to) before a massive game for us. That alone would make me not want to entertain anything coming from them at all.
  15. Been saying it for weeks now, the downward spiral has begun. It still may take till the end of next season before we regain the title but when we look back on it, we'll look to this point as to when the turnaround began.
  16. Underrated game was winning the league at Tannadice. We thought we had blown it a week earlier, Dundee United were our bogey team at the time. We hadn't won the league in three years and the events of the season before and losing the Uefa Cup final and the league within a week were still fresh in the memories. We were brilliant that day. Our third goal was something else. I think that was the most satisfying result of the last 10 years for me.
  17. As much as I don't want them to win anything at all them losing tonight and getting into the Europa League groups is the ideal situation. Both of us being in the same competition playing Thursday-Sunday football till Christmas is ideal in terms of League and Cooefficents.
  18. Reserves are playing Falkirk in the Challenge Cup on Tuesday I think be a good run out for him.
  19. Tom on the commentary at one point said 'every movement is an adventure' absolutely on the money with that one pished myself ?
  20. Ref today was shite but he got the red card today correct.
  21. Fuck Naismith. We've moved on, we don't need him. Utmost faith Gerrard, Allen and co can attract better and younger talent than him.
  22. Wouldn't say so, both were good for around 6 months before the club went to pot as whole. We were 15 points of them at one point. Agree Bougherra and Weir are the ballmark for recent Rangers center halves, Goldson and Katic certainly on there way.
  23. I was a massive Gerrard fan growing up, there would have been very few managers out there in world football that I would want to do more so than Gerrard. However I was extremely spektical of the move of the board to bring an unproven manager in as a replacement to the nightmare appointments that preceded him. Three months or so into the job and I'm struggling with every ounce of my body to not get delirious with what's he's done so far at the club. I'm aware he's yet to face adversity but from the way he talks, the way he carries himself to his signings, to his tactical changes, half time team talks, his signings and results thus far its almost impossible to begin dreaming again. After the last 6 years to be able to even dream again, I thank him.
