  1. Was wondering myself where Walsh would fit in. He may adapt it a bit for other games. Probably just felt we needed to stop them dominating the midfield today.
  2. I know time isn't on our hands but i'd rather give him a couple of weeks (and a couple more training sessions) before I make my mind up. The football was slightly better and he has played some of the players that were permanently on the bench for too long. Bring in Sinnamon, Gallagher and Halkett.
  3. He actually played pretty well up front in some games so if we HAVE to play him i'd rather it was there.
  4. Totally agree with OP about the massive gaps in the team. Replacing Jig with a pacier centre half and playing some of the younger, quicker, more creative players up front would make a massive difference. We see how effective it can be pressing the ball high up the pitch but our players just don't look fit enough. Didn't we get in that new fitness coach (can't remember his name) a couple of seasons ago who had a reputation for being a bit of a hard-ass? I remember the players looking a bit sharper for a while afterwards but that soon went to shit. I just hope to God that McCall has came in and told them all to smarten up their act rather than trying to win a popularity contest with the players and coast by like Ally and Kenny. Yesterday looked to be like a fairly flat 442 which totally didn't work. A 4231 might suit us a bit better or even a 433. Looked far too flat.
  5. Extra training sessions already! 9 in a row here we come!
  6. Aye, a fairly rich and well connected guy I know (who's a celtic fan) says he knows Kenny from his days back at Celtic and still speaks to him now and again. Says he was on buttons compared to Mccoist and only really didn't leave because he couldn't afford to. I know he was a terrible manager but I have a lot of respect for the work he put in over the years and thought he always came across as a great guy. Hope he finds a new coaching role soon elsewhere.
  7. I was going absolutely mental at that free kick last night. It's so obvious how bad an idea it is yet they still do it. It's as if our players and coaches are 12 year olds just learning the game. I did think the corners were a lot better though since Aird wasn't hitting them.
  8. Strong, fast right back who likes to get forward. Get well soon please! Foster makes me sad.
  9. He looked like he was trying to inject some speed into our play. Wish he would start against hibs but I doubt it.
  10. Think he splashes cash to cover for his shortcomings as a manager. Reminds me of someone...
  11. I don't know what his deal is. I spoke to a girl who's related to him and she said he's 1 million per cent a rangers man. Doesn't sound like it.
  12. My biggest worry about any player from the McCoist/McCall era is that they might have the same laid back attitude when it comes to training etc and the whole "jobs for the boys" mentality. If not, I think he could do a decent job but agree with the poster above about him maybe being a better number 2.
  13. This does indeed reek of timmy.
  14. I either get Mcinnes or £1m from siralastairofmccoist. Happy days!
  15. 18.72, that's brilliant! Would be something to give my dad and brothers for Christmas. Shame we could only afford to bring in a bargain basement replacement. There are a few young managers out there that have their teams playing attractive, winning football but I suppose you have to take into account whether they have the "big team mentality" and whether they could manage guys like Jig and Boydy who wouldn't like not having it their own way.
  16. Fiver each and we'll have his pay off in no time. That would be bloody world news - "football team's fans gather funds in order to pay off manager". He'd then also look like a bit of a dick if he accepted it and would perhaps just quit after seeing how much we want rid. *puts tin hat on*
  17. I'd happily take another season in the Championship on the provision that we had a new manager/coaches/scouts etc. Then the next year aim for top 3 in the premiership, then aim to win it the next year. Would all be worth it to get rid of boyd, mccoist etc and the jobs for the boys mentality. See some attractive football and give the fans a product the want to pay for.
  18. Just stick rangers in the English Premier League and get the "financial takeover" thing from the catalogue. Also, don't know if anyone's already said but there is a cap on how highly rated our players are allowed to be due to our league. I review stats for fifa and physical stats aren't capped so our players can be as fast/strong etc as you like but i'm generally told that i'm not allowed to upgrade shooting etc. I managed to get them to make Aluko shit hot then he left And got the injury prone trait on Lafferty...
