@JamieD what are you thinking? Your time in the politics forum is spent educating most of us (even the mentalists on the right would privately acknowledge that I’m sure) and then you take leave of your senses go and do this? 🤷
Congratulations, btw 👍

The Tankstelle or the London in the Reeperbahn is your best bet.

Interesting that it didn't stop them taking Cristiano Ronaldo.

The easiest anyone has ever made football look. Played sweeper, box-to-box midfielder and striker all in one move, all while being a featherweight.

One of the charges brought against Greenwood was coercive and controlling behaviour. Man Utd say he didn't do what he was accused of. Presumably every person who signed off on that statement thinks that telling your partner you don't give a fuck if she wants to have sex, she's doing it anyway and you won't ask her again is not coercive and controlling. Those people are all, like him, a danger to women.

Criticised by whom? Rape apologists? The publicity of a tribunal would set Man Utd apart as perhaps the only morally upstanding major club in world football. Even from a purely cynical PR and economics point of view it is a good idea. Nobody is going to criticise Man Utd for being forced by a court to pay Greenwood what he is legally due, but which they refused on principle to hand over freely.

Sure, but there's levels to this, and clearly the cost of Greenwood's contract is worth a lot less than Man Utd's brand, so there is a fairly obvious way for Man Utd to get out of it with the minimum possible damage, and that way is not letting Greenwood come back.
The very fact that Greenwood's conduct has meant a guaranteed financial loss to his employer, whatever they do, suggests a very strong case that he has committed gross misconduct.

Why is this so difficult? It seems simple enough to me.
They sack him for gross misconduct, and put the onus in him to take them to a tribunal, where he will have to testify about the contents of the audio recording, which he has so far been too much of a coward to acknowledge. If Greenwood is prepared to be grilled about being a violent predator, and he wins the case, Man Utd pay off his contract, an absolute bargain compared to the reputational damage they are seemingly prepared to endure over this.

Do you really think that only people who have been convicted of a crime should be able to be sacked? A recording threatening to rape someone isn't enough? Fairly sure my employer wouldn't stand for that, if it got out about me.

I would think, given that she refused to cooperate with the CPS, that the only rehabilitation he can expect the public to acknowledge is a public rehabilitation. Has he admitted he hit her, and at the very least threatened to rape her, and apologised? I haven't seen anything about this. Perhaps he did it privately. Why are we supposed to assume that? ALL of the evidence available is that he is a danger to women. He has put forward no evidence to suggest he recognises this, or has changed.

That was a line Alanis Morissette had to cut from her 90s classic.

Hated Xabi Alonso at Real. Went from being a likeable, classy player to having a consistently worse disciplinary record than Pepe and Sergio Ramos. Mourinho brought out the absolute worst in him and he seemed glad to go along with it. Got regularly schooled by Busquets in the Clasicos and invariably resorted to kicking people. Weirdly I don't remember anyone seeming to notice or comment, and he never got a reputation for it.
