The idea of a Beale & Kevin Thomson pairing, which seems to be being heavily mooted, does nothing for me at all.

Nah Beale came up and whored himself out in person. Both of them cut from same cloth imo.

I’d be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt when it came to leaving us. If we didn’t offer him the job - the alternative would have been wait and probably be let go by Gio as he wanted to bring in his back room team.

However, I‘m concerned about him coming to us and leaving QPR. A couple of weeks ago he was giving it the big one with interviews on Talksport, Sky, QPR website saying how he loved the project at QPR. Since then, he has attended one of our games in person with Gio being obviously under pressure - he knew exactly what kind of chat that would cause (all to inflate his own ego) and could be about to walk out on this project he was fully committed to all whilst these interviews are barely put to the back of peoples minds
Just doesn’t add up for me - and not sure if he has the integrity, experience or character for this job. Leave him at QPR and see how he does then take it from there. Now is the time to go with a bit of an experienced head and don’t go for the easy option.

Ok that can be counteracted with:
He’s  only been a manager for 3 months and hardly setting the world alight
Will probably be a yes man to Ross Wilson/the board
QPRs form has fallen off a cliff since he turned down the approach from Wolves
If he comes, it shows his commitment speech that he just made to QPR was a load of shite - can’t be trusted
Need to really steer clear of this appointment

Wilson should follow Gio out of the door and the sooner the better.  His signings and the contracts given have been mostly awful.  We have a first team squad of about 26 and a first team wage bill of approx £40 million which is an average wage of £1.5 million per year.   We are not getting value for money.  Our squad has a fairly high average age and we have few players with any really decent potential sell-on fee.    The last three transfer windows have been extremely poor.   16 players brought in by fees, frees or loans.   Total cost in transfers and signing-on fees is in the region of £20 million.  Quantity before quality.

Can see clear as day what will happen, he goes nowhere, we’ll drop points before the tarrier game then get humped off them at Ibrox.
They’ll sack him after that and give the next poor cunt no time to work or implement ideas.
    Shambles from top to bottom.
