Giving a new contract to Jack was a horrendous decision.

People keep going on about this and Arfield making sense due to the European quota etc but at what point do we actually move on and replace these guys and bring in other players to fill the European quota. This felt like the right time to get an injury prone player off the books free of charge and the same with Arfield and at a time when we are supposed to be rebuilding. Feels like we're just delaying the issue and will be at the same crossroads next season.

While neither Matondo or Sakala are great having players with a bit of pace to go forward gave us better options to at least try the through balls or balls behind their defence instead of Morelos dropping deep all the time because he's no chance winning a race.
Also gets us up the park quicker and being less reliant on the wing backs getting forward.
It won't be cheap but we need to be going all out for a quality pacey striker in the transfer window.
