  1. A great comeback from a great player. He is in the only Hall of Fame that matters. We will always love you Gazza.
  2. I think it's fantastic to see a post like this, well done OP. A discussion on who our best eleven is, no one being slagged off for their opinion just positive comment. The squad that has been selected is fantastic and will be rotated depending on opponents or injury. What a fantastic turn around in twelve months.
  3. Sorry to hear that news, its a shite of a disease. All the very best ED.
  4. Some people on here have very short memories, they love to bag any ex player who dares to criticise any of the current players. Threads on here bagging Kris Boyd because he has a go at Morelos, tearing Kenny Miller apart because he played for them. Forget all the fantastic goals they scored for us over their best years. Yes both were past it in their final stints with us but they still scored some fantastic goals as a pairing up front. Morelos has been slagged off on here for his inability to score simple tap ins not just once but quite a few.
  5. Showing my age here a bit. Goram Klos McGregor Amoruso Caldow Gough Weir Shearer Papac Numan Laudrup Henderson Greig Gascoigne Albertz Baxter R deBoer Cooper McCoist J Millar Brand Stein
  6. The priority this season is to start the long road back to where we belong. It has started by employing a manager that everyone knows and respects. he has brought a first quality management team with him. He has signed 14 new players of a far better quality than we have had for six years. He has offoaded most of the dross that were on our books. We have qualified for the group stages of the Europa league, which has brought 10 million pounds into our coffers. Six games against good European opposition which will bring in more money. Yes domestically we have been slow to start, its only September, if we are still in this position at Christmas then maybe there is room for panic. Some on here expect miracles. Get a grip FFS.
  7. We were really panicking in the first half, lumping long balls down to nobody. Midfield were overrun. Second half better but still no end product. The team and Gerrard will learn from that and after all its only September.
  8. The result is immaterial at this stage of the season, its how we perform that counts. Hopefully the players who have experienced this game ( McGregor, Lafferty, Tav etc ) can get the expectation across to the newbies. We need to put down a marker for the rest of the season. But a win would be sensational.
  9. Its great to have him back again. Regardless of how he left in 2012 he is the best keeper we have had for years. His saves in those qualifying games kept us in it.
  10. Welcome to the greatest club in the World Joe.
  11. You are right, " his temperament " and he needs to learn to control it otherwise he becomes a target for every defender he is against.
  12. No, far from stupid. He is only our main striker if he stays on the field and does his job. He needs to learn to keep the heid. As I said every team we come against will now know he is easily wound up and will do so.
  13. He needs dropped to the bench as a lesson and given help. He is a liability at the moment. Every team in Scotland will wind him up and whoever we get in Europe will watch that game and do the same.
  14. I got. Arsenal Krasnodar Standard Liege Rangers I would take that.
  15. I was just about greetin when that full time whistle went. What a performance from nine men, could not have asked for any more. Its been a long time but Euro nights back at Ibrox plus the 10 million. Yeehaa.
  16. We lost the midfield battle all game. We were lumping long balls from the defence/goalkeeper looking for Laff or Morelos. Ejaria is not suited to that type of game, good feet and technically good but hangs on to the ball too long two or three times went into the box and head down kept pushing until ran into a brick wall.
  17. Talented young player, has got some pace and a few tricks. But really lacks confidence when he gets into a shooting position.
  18. I'm loving the feel good factor on here about our defence. First time in five years. Goldson and Katic were superb and we still have Flanagan and Barisic to come. Gerrard said from the start build your team from the back and he has done just that.
  19. Love his playing style puts pressure on defenders. But on the down side he really needs to control himself. Pushing his head into that guy tonight could have been another red card.
  20. Seriously good player. Strong on the ball with a great delivery into the box. Defence now looks solid.
  21. Really good to read positive threads in here about our defence. First time in years.
  22. For the first time in 5 years I am excited about the season ahead. A no nonsense manager who doesn't talk platitudes, tells his players what he expects. Tells the media what he wants from the team. A squad that has real potential. Love it.
  23. Both Ejaria and Middleton are a breath of fresh air. Their movement off the ball and Middletons pace will cause plenty of SPL teams trouble. But as SG says they are both young and need nurturing. Hopefully Sadiq proves a proper striker because Morelos again proved he cannot score with the head or his feet. Windass had one effort all match needs to be benched and Middleton given his spot.
  24. Yes he did. Did you watch the game??? Admittedly he only came up to his chest but the forward movement of his head was there.
  25. Fans are entitled to have a go if the team is not playing to their expectations. Should have had a microphone in my lounge room when that diddy Morelos missed some sitters then tried to stick the nut on the big defender. As for that numptie Windass how do you not at least hit the target from inside the six yard box when the ball is put right on yer nut, yet he can manage to put it over the bar.
