  1. I sent an email to the UEFA disciplinary department asking if Legia were going to face any punishment for their fans pyrotechnic display under Article 16 (2) of their disciplinary code of conduct. I cited the punishment celtic had received for a similar breach and noted that there was no mention on their website of any pending actio.
  2. The players selected were more than capable but the formation and the tactics were wrong. Too many passes went astray, panic set in especially after the first goal. Too many long balls out of defence to one man strike force who was always going to struggle against big central defenders. We need to learn how to break down a 10 man defence because every other team in this league will have learned from our previous games. Smother our attack in the midfield.
  3. Classy touch from St Josephs take note all the haters out there.
  4. Absolutely man of the match performance tonight. Rock solid.
  5. Rangers Football Club was founded in 1872 and was seen as a protestant/ unionist club. This is 2019 and the World has moved on from that era whether you like it or not. Things were acceptable then are not now. Racism, sectarianism, sexism are all banned and there are groups monitoring every area imaginable for any hint of anyone crossing the line on any of these areas. The west coast of Scotland seems to be stuck in a time warp where some of these ism's are concerned. I would ask those who continue to sing the offending songs, despite repeated requests from the club and others to stop, is your allegiance to outdated religious hatred more important than our Football Club?
  6. All the very best to you and your wife. Hopefully you will get some good news soon.
  7. An old saying " people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones " covers this pretty well. We can continually point the finger at the fenians for singing pro IRA songs, racist banners, hangmans nooses etc. but it all falls on deaf ears or another old saying " there are none so blind as those that will not see " and this is the situation we are dealing with. But if we as a support keep giving them ammunition to fire at us, who are the stupid ones? The travelling fans in Denmark showed how to behave and were rightly given a glowing testament by the Danish authorities. We as a club need more of this and to keep pointing out the totally biased reporting by Fare and other such groups fight fire with fire write to the SFA, the SPFL and UEFA respectfully every time we can prove wrongdoing by the papes across the city.
  8. Condolences to you and his family. RIP Andrew.
  9. Followed Rangers since around 1958 when I was 10 years old. I have supported them for the majority of that time from abroad, Australia to be precise, but they play a huge part in my life from buying merchandise to attending games whenever I am back to spending hours on the internet watching Rangers TV and reading allsorts of shit on here, just ask my wife, who does not understand. I have made my son and grandson bluenoses and my wife knows never to tell me the latest score unless I have watched the game already'\
  10. He was just special, swagger and talent to back it up. He tore any opposition apart. Mind you he had some pretty special players alongside him in those days as well.
  11. A class act. The way he jumped around for the goals shows he gets us. His whole management team have been brilliant. Here comes 55.
  12. Didn't really notice the commentary that much I tune out to background noise when I'm watching Rangers, just ask my missus.
  13. The whole team was nothing more than adequate, apart from Ojo, against a very mediocre team. Lets wait until we qualify for the group stages and the first few games of the league before we go into raptures about any of them.
  14. Happy with most of the new signings but Aribo looks like a step up in class. We must win a trophy this year the league first and foremost and a good run in the Euro's. Any others would be the icing on the cake.
  15. If we get Aribo and Kent over the line, which seems likely, another CB for cover. LB maybe but I think Barisic could cover that spot with Halliday as number 2. Midfield will be fine if we get the two previously mentioned. If we sell Alfie, which is possible, we will need another top quality striker, a marqee type with Mbude and Rudden as back up.
  16. Nice wee clip, some lovely goals. His experience in playing on the shoulder of the last man is something Morelos needs to copy.
  17. Good to see him back. Will be a good squad player next year. Might be getting a bit old but tons of ability and experience. Pick and choose his games and he will be good.
  18. Coming over to Scotland in May into June would like to do stadium tour. Would also love to get to game against the scum are tickets available for that game.?
  19. Courts drawing a line in the sand. Step over it and this is what will happen.
  20. Too late for an apology. Every time he steps on the field he is a target for defenders, they know he will react. Time and time again Broony niggles him and he bites. Tell me Gerrard would not have warned him prior to kick off not to let Broony get under his skin, yet one little kick at his ankles and right in front of the linesman and the fouth official he throws an arm into his chest. It doesn't matter whether he contacted or not he is guilty of violent conduct and Broony made it look as bad as he could. He is a liability for us in any game but especially in that one we needed the points and playing with eleven men was going to be tough but ten was nigh on impossible.
  21. It all depends on how much we get for him. Realistically I think he is worth the 20 million others have said but history shows that EPL clubs think throwing scottish clubs some scraps can get them whomever. That kind of money ( if we got it ) could potentially buy another CB, LB another RM and a really good number 10, someone who can not only unlock stacked defences but can score goals from 20 yards out. We are too predictable when faced with this type of defence, balls out to the wings and throw in crosses some of which work but most don't. We need to be able to vary the attack through the middle or wide cutting in from wide into the 18 yard box, keep them guessing which is coming.
  22. OP is right defenders need to be able to defend first and foremost. If they can overlap with the midfield at time good but Tav spends more time in the opposition final third than he does at RB. Against teams like the sheep I would rather Andy Halliday at LB than Barisic.
  23. Lot's going to depend on how much investment is made in the summer. If he brings in three or four new quality players and we still fail to win the easy games, then maybe.
  24. Panic sets in really fast on here. SG is going nowhere for a couple of seasons.
