  1. The last manager we got from Motherwell did alright....
  2. Looks like a resounding no here. That'll probably be the green light for Ally to sign him up... Was a crackin player first time round, unlucky with injuries. Can't believe Butcher never started him in his team of no hopers. We could do worse... and probably will....
  3. An absolute tragedy . One of the all time great Rangers. I never knew Sandy as a person but he was as a player my hero. I remember he started at Rangers as a centre forward and scored his fair share. He eventually ended up at right back and what a player he was . The best number 2 in my time for sure. This may sound strange but I remember when Sandy really started to shine. One close season he decided to work on his speed and spent the summer training with sprinters. I believe he may have taken part one year in the Powderhall sprint. He never looked back and make no mistake , at his peak, Sandy Jardine was right up there with the best right backs in the world. So good McGrain had to move to left back. RIP Sandy, a real Rangers man and my hero.
  4. Favourite signing was Colin Stein. Saddest sale? Without doubt Baxter, was gutted.
  5. Why not Butcher? Billy Davies ????? You must be joking . Done nothing would be like for like
  6. A total bomb scare. Not good enough for the top level and neither is McCulloch. We need two centre backs for next season
  7. Indeed yes agreed. Much talk of Davies, McInnes etc but in my mind we need someone who can seriously kick ass and smash down a few doors. Butcher's the man for the job. He's inherited what is possibly the worst team in the league at Hibs. He took a bunch of journeymen at ICT to the top of the league and since he left and Hughes took over they've gone into free fall. Get big Tell in, the man's a winner and will not accept any less than 100%
  8. Embarrassed and humiliated. The worst Rangers team I've seen in 50 years. Several players not up for it. Whats the way forward? New coaching team I'm afraid. Why do we have a management team of three? Time for Wallace to swing the axe even if it means Ally staying but get rid of his mates.
  9. Why pick on a young kid? At least he looked up for it which is more than can be said for one or two others, ie Mhosni, Law, Daly, brutal would cover today's performance by those three. And while I'm on a rant our supposed International left back was not too clever either. The way the team is being set up is making individual players look bad. Against teams like re we should be 433 not one immobile striker up top on his own. Sorry but compared to Daly Kris Boyd is right up there with Messi. Management to blame end of.
  10. Really, really dreading this game and starting to wish it wasn't at Ibrox. I think Ally may have said in the last few days that we are a better team now than a year ago.... Beg to differ Ally . Last year in the cup the night we knocked out Motherwell? That remains the one top performance. Cribari was immense.. Who? Yes Cribari a centre back who has played at the highest level but is now frozen out by Mhosni and McCulloch......
  11. Sorry, wrong topic, 'Think before I post'
  12. Nice gesture, will reduce their tax bill....
  13. Baxter was my hero and the best Rangers player I've seen. World class? Yes, in his prime he could have turned it on at any level. Ripped the world champions at Wembley. 9IAR? Baxter had the Indian sign on them, they were terrified of him and if he had stayed... Sad that he had to leave over a few pound a week pay rise.
  14. That was the worst refereeing display I've seen for a long time. The boy should have seen red for the attack on MacCulloch. Foster got a really bad one. The red did not just miss things, make no mistake he chose to ignore them. The amount of stuff off the ball was incredible. Dunfermline actually look not a bad footballing side , a lot better than Airdrie on Friday anyway . Obviously Jeffries sent them out on a mission . He's the loser in more ways than one . His credibility if he had any, is out the window. Well done to Black, Law and co for not reacting.
  15. Season 66/67. Two games would have done me, I'd have scored a late equaliser against Berwick and then another late one against Bayern Munich to win the Cup Winners Cup. For me that was one of the most disappointing seasons ever. Think I could have made a difference...
  16. This could be a good place to start http://footballtaxhavens.wordpress.com/2013/08/21/sfa-spfl-betting-conflicts-of-interest/
  17. Agree with that. Hutton is a shadow of his former self and there must be a reason he doesn't get a look in at Villa. I take it you mean Whittaker? Yes move him across to rb and Wallace at lb.
  18. Ally McCoist played for St Johnstone, Sunderland, Rangers & Kilmarnock scoring 399 goals in total. He also made 61 appearances for Scotland (19 goals) Read more http://www.kgbanswers.co.uk/what-clubs-did-ally-mccoist-play-for-in-his-career-and-how-many-goals-did-if-score/2085311#ixzz2eOX6xgsJ
  19. Cooper was a great great player on his day but he wasn't called the moody blue for nothing. Baxter was simply the best.
  20. Great day and remember it well. Absolutely took them apart and it was 5 going on 10. I too was caught up in hysteria at the time thinking that we were the best in the world and going to win in Argentina. That should have been a wake up call for Macleod. There was a lot of Rangers players with something to prove that day. Shocking that Derek Johnstone never played in Argentina. He was on fire and right up there with Jordan. Remember when Macleod even put Joe Harper on off the bench in front of DJ in Argentina .. Harper was a journeyman striker who scored a few goals for Morton, Aberdeen, and various others. Why Russell was never capped was always a mystery to me. Alex Macdonald was another who should heve been recognised at international level.
  21. The answer is not to listen to them, switch over to 5 Live or Talksport. What these half wits do not realise is that half the country follows Rangers and they are successfully managing to alienate all of us. This will no doubt be reflected in listening figures and their silly little bigoted show will be no more. They seem to think they are immune from the demise of Scottish Football...
  22. Well, well. Everyone was so desperate to get rid of CG. Now we've got mini.... Careful what you wish for....
  23. I am a stakeholder and this McColl joker does not speak for me so according to him I must be in the minority... What is this all about? How can he be taking the lead and at the same time state he's not going to invest any of his own cash... I have shares in various companies and any time a change out is required on the board a democratic vote is taken.. This whole thing is embarrassing and I wish McColl, Murray etc would gtf
