Agree the halfing of Points at split is a nonsense but don't think it effects how the final places are defined. 

It does apparently, if level on points Brugge lose the half point that was rounded up and USG are champions.

Agreed, could easily won both tge Ibrox games znd not lost at their dump. Problem is they did come out on top in 2 of them which gives them a psychological advantage as well as a 3 point lead.
