Edmiston Drive reacted to Spliffy in Our Game in Vienna
The season before we were meant to be decent as well, except got hammered off Real Madrid in the very first round...was real luck of the draw back then. Funnily enough, the taigs only got a difficult team once they got to the final when they won it.
Its incredibly frustrating, if Baxter played against Inter and we lost then there would never be a feeling of what if. Similar to Mols' injury against Bayern. For the club that we are, we have under achieved in Europe, but we've also had a lot of bad luck to contend with. In my eyes anyway. Can add Marseille cheating in 93 as well.

Edmiston Drive got a reaction from .Williamson. in Our Game in Vienna
This game will bring back memories of 1964 when we faced the return game leading 1-0
comfortably leading 0-2 agg. 0-3 on a cold night that showed Jim Baxter at his best when with minutes tae go their fullback broke Jim's leg because he has tormenting them all night with his superb skills.
So a wee thought of this great Ranger should be given at game end
??????????

Edmiston Drive reacted to big blue Fin in Rangers scarf in the coffin
My grandparents were buried with their lodge sashes back in the 1970s, my dad with his Masonic regalia and my mum with her old Rangers scarf dating back to the 50s.
When It's my time I'll probably just get burned at the stake for being another person who dared to vote NO!

Edmiston Drive reacted to Grundy in your greatest atmosphere ever at Ibrox.
I'll never forget Bayern at Ibrox in '72, Beckenbauer, the most cultured player probably in the world at the time, was losing it because Colin Stein was giving him such a hard time. Willie Johnstone was taking the piss at every opportunity, their world renowned striker, Muller, hardly saw the ball.

Well done ?
What happened tae the embarrassment that is Craig Houston and his pledge on TV that he would personally go and clean up all the graves?
Was this yet another lie by this boil on The Rangers name?
keep up the good work you guys are responsible for ????

Edmiston Drive reacted to harlands plater in Your lifetime Rangers squad
As I first went to Ibrox in 1962 thus is going to very difficult.
Scot Symon’s dominant team, the Barcelona Bears, Jock Wallace’s two treble winning squads, the Souness Revolution, Walter’s nine-in-a-row legends, Advocaat’s purring football outfit...
23 players from that list? Ill get back to you in about a week.

Big European nights were always special at Ibrox.
On the domestic front though the majority of great games for atmosphere have either been in cup finals at Hampden, or away wins on opponents grounds, but (in my opinion) very few domestic games at Ibrox have matched the best.

Rangers played SportKlub Rapid of Vienna in a friendly in Austria in June 1933.
Before the match, Bill Struth presented his Rangers team to the President of the Austrian Republic.

Was only 2 so too young, this is the game out of all Rangers games I have never been to I wish I had , forget the CWC final as this Bayern team where the cornerstone of the West Germany team that would win the European championships in 72 the World Cup in 74 beating Cryuffs Dutch masters in the final and Bayern also won the European cup from 73-76. So look at what they achieved soon after that defeat to us
Not a bad track record and a team on their way up not down and we beat them and put them out of the CWC .

I go back to 1970 v Bayern 1-1 and 80,000 crowd but two euro nights i remember the atmosphere and loudest noise was the Kiev 2-0 game where Souness narrowed the pitch and the 1984 gme v Inter we won 3-1 with John McClelland up front as we chased a 3-0 loss at in Milan special boos for Liam Brady. I was hoarse for a week
