Spliffy reacted to rfc1990 in Lack of match winning quality.
Don't really want to use them as an example but a Rogic or an Armstrong is exactly the type of player we need. Someone that can play the perfect through ball and can also pop up with a goal every so often.

Love that man.
A lot of people myself included will feel hard done by that we've left it to the last game to try and get through, but to remain unbeaten over two games against a side of Villarreals quality is superb and shows how far we've come since the summer.

Except there should have been a free kick for us immediately before that incident for the foul on Tav.
Ref was a joke start to finish.

Should have been passed to by Forrester

Couple of misplaced passes down the line, but nothing major. Part of a defence which stood strong from numerous set pieces against a very physical side.
As I said, compared to Flanagan doing a much better job filling in.

Not as piss poor as them ripping the arse out it. All profits go back into the club yet they now have funds to open a store. There is no way they are doing that for nothing.
We can buy shirts now so why the need to suddenly produce Hummel gear?

To be honest
It's one thing more bears should be proud of
First club ever to win 50 league titles
beggars still haven't got there and we have been hamstrung for 7 years

actually the only 2 I wouldn't have back would be Naismith and Whittaker.

Genuinely think he could be a big player for us this Season.
I actually would be tempted to start him in beside Goldson next game. I feel like our core needs more experience.
Definitely more Clint Hill than Philippe Senderos.

Spliffy reacted to eskbankloyal in Grezda
Said it before but guys like Grezda, Barisic & Katic will take a season before they are fully settled in & adapted to life in Scotland and Scottish football. Folk writing them off after 2 15 minute appearances off the bench need a reality check.

Spliffy reacted to RangersMedia in Does anyone care?
Scotland obviously but wanting Grezda to play well and so far he has done

I get that people are angry over how he went about his business when he left, I am still disappointed and a little bemused myself but I think it was a personal thing about how he felt he was handled by the board anyway that is not the point I am going to make.
If we signed Ally McCoist (the player) for the figure you quoted £650k I think this would be a phenomenal return on that price, John Greig was the man who signed McCoist bagging 20 goals in his debut season.
Over 15 years at Ibrox, he was to average nearly 24 counters per term and that’s a figure few have achieved with Rangers – particularly over several campaigns. Of course, McCoist’s prolific form in front of goal twice led to him being crowned Europe’s top goalscorer and he received the Golden Boot award in 1992 and 1993.
Also included in Super Ally’s tally were 28 hat-tricks for his beloved Gers and an incredible 18 different honours, including 10 league championships.
Like most fans I too see that his managerial career was a sad ending to such an outstanding playing contribution but to dismiss his magnificent playing performances to 650 thousand quid is I think folly, there was plenty of players at Ibrox that have earned way more for far little return. I get the anger but dont let it blind you to the fact that not many will ever be able to deliver such a successful return in my lifetime as Ally McCoist has as a player.

We could've done with it last Thursday night when El Buffalo's goal was deemed offside. A lot of the time officials can't be trusted to get game deciding calls correct. For that reason...I'm in!

Spliffy reacted to Billy1984 in After Alan McGregor - Who Has Been Our Best Player So Far This Season?
We’re clearly a far worse team without Morelos playing, for that reason he’s been the best for me.

I think it was because when he was here the first time we always had quality options up top which meant competition for places was fierce and kept him on his toes plus we often changed shape from 2 up top to 1, he was a deadly finisher but was not naturally gifted as a lone striker. His scoring record speaks for its self imo.
In his second spell he was used to try and hold it up or win knock downs but our team was poor by that time and what I recall was him running and our defence sending it long to him time after time this became predictable to the opposition, that topped with poor form meant it didn't end well. What I would say is that he may not have been a lot of folks idea of a legend but his scoring exploits for Kilmarnock each time he has went back have seen them punching above there weight making him a great striker imo.
His goal against Partick shows he was capable of deadly accuracy while the time he was thrown on against Dundee Utd in the CIS cup and he scored 2 goals then took the winning penalty will stay with me forever, I remember him striding up to take and feeling that he exemplified utter confidence in his ability that he was going to score and he did.
I hope he has a cracking day because this bear held him in high regard

Hope he gets a good turnout. Will always have time for Boydy after the huge number of goals he scored for us down the years.
