But surely when he went for or was approached for the job, the signing policy must have been spoken about, it's surely 1 of the first things any manager would be asking before they took a job.

I think Gio and the players need to take a long hard look at themselves and get back into reality, the way we play would be brilliant for a 90's AC Milan team, sitting on a slim lead is not an issue when you have guys like Baresi and Maldini in your defence. A defence with Goldson, Sands, Tav, and Barisic are not the kind of defence to hold on for a 1-0 win. I honestly thing Goldson see's Beckenbauer or ramos when he looks in the mirror.

The point that annoys me is that we can see it, how can an ex-pro footballer (and a very good 1 at that) not see it? If fans on a football forum can pinpoint problem areas week after week, then how can a paid manager and coaching team not see it and work on it. We have loads of glaring issues that never seem to get addressed or worked on, it's as if the players and managers are happy with the way things are and they don't need changed - but it's clearly obvious things need sorted. We have multiple issue that can be and need to be addressed such as, Lack of goal return from Kent, his shooting is abysmal and I can't think of any forward player in the league who is nearly as bad at shooting, players failing to make runs and movement and the few times they do the man with the ball picks the easy option, Goldson and the defence being so slow the other team have time to get back their shape, an absolute point blank refusal to counter-attack, Zonal marking, the list goes on and many of them are fixable but the team just seems to be plodding away waiting for the end of the season and maybe that big transfer move they are dreaming about.  

Spot on that shit infuriates me three times today barasic eg was in space on the touchline at the west enclosure and every time he was snubbed in favour of that shitty infield pass allowing them to regroup.
Each time barasic could've been in space actually cancelling our three of their players  who were about to fall back into the middle three how the manager can't see these situations as exploitable is fucking grim never mind our players actually being aware of a teammate being in such a good position to exploit the space rather than a safe pass infield always headed back Goldson or Tavernier that for me is why we are so fucking pedestrian and GVB does fuck all to eradicate that sub standard mentality.

Agreed, a new manager should come in with his vision and start to see how he can get the team to move in that vision, he has to adapt his vision to the players he has until he can get the team to his vision which may take a season or 2. But sending a team out to be shit just because that's how you want yo play is the wrong way to go as you will be sacked before you get the chance.

The performances prove that the tactics are no use. A decent manager could see this and adapt accordingly. From what we have seen of Gio so far he is not adaptable and is lost as how to change the course of a game, or even make simple clever substitutions. Most of the forum today we're calling for Alfie to come on second half and drop a defensive mid, against a bottom of the league Dundee Utd who have been leaking barrow loads of goals to everyone including poor Scottish teams, yet we manage to make them look competitive at Ibrox under this sham of a manager Just not acceptable!!
