The reality is, this is three years in the making with this board.
Murty is what he his, not good and should never have been put in the position yet again. The board's ever so useful idiot.
However, forget the spineless performance, forget the team selection and forget all the tactical nuances, today it was simply men against boys. The scum are no invincibles, but today only showed just how big the gap is.
Not one of that squad would be missed. No point in trying to scapegoat and single players out. None of us are blind and what we see in front of our eyes is real. It"s been there all season and for some, there for the last three seasons.
Not one good enough to be in a title winning team.
Reality has to hit home at some point. Sure,  some have our favourites, but they are simply not anywhere near good enough. No excuses, no ah buts, it'all Murty's fault and whatever other feeble excuse.
All roads lead back to the board. From budgets, to poor signing policies to poor managers and all the off field shenanigans that have made us toxic, eroding standards, with little integrity and dignity left, if any at all.
We can only hope we have reached the tipping point and whatever the board have planned for us is all positive and positive enough to provide the investment needed to make a serious challenge.
If it's not forthcoming it is seriously time for direct action to be taken by the fans to remove this board, otherwise, we remain also rans and deep in the brown stuff.
To say it's been a depressing day would be an understatement, so I await with fear and intrepidation for the next club statement.
This board either step up to the plate or get ran out of town. No more jam tomorrow. No more false dawns. Show us the money or get to fuck.

I know nowadays it would probably be seen as 'unsafe' 'uncivilised' etc, but it really was awesome being there at that time. Jeans being soaking wet up to your knees, and a face like youd just surfaced from a Yorkshire coalpit !!!  Not to mention the dry throat from the dust and singing, and the black shit up yer nose! LOL
Yes indeed, wouldnt swap that experience being in amongst 25,000 bears at the Rangers end for anything!

When the dust settled it wasn’t unusual to find yourself yards away from where you had been standing, being offered a drink in the middle of a wee party by some guys you didn’t even know. 
Thats how I think of the terracing back then at big games, lots of wee parties going on 

I was at his last game for Scotland at celtic Park (only time I've ever been there). Against the Czech Republic, I think. He was booed off the park.  A disgraceful performance by the 'Tartan Army'. Not the first and not the last.  I remember being utterly disgusted by the home crowd that night. 

and Sir Furious Fergie got binned after that game for letting mcneil score in the first minute or so....

You think? This has been by far the worst decade in the history of Rangers Football Club and theres still 18 months of it left.
In the 80s we had some right good players and still managed to win a couple of League Cups and a Scottish Cup we also had a team capable of competing regularly with that mob in competitons even if we weren't getting close to a League Title.

Some people say the 80s were worse, i would argue against that. First of all we won a Scottish Cup and league cup 6 times, no way this shower of cowards could do this.

It's just gone 49 years since I first went to watch Rangers. Newcastle away in the fairs cup. Ten years old amid the mayhem. I have been hooked ever since. These last few days however have been the worst I can remember. I suffered through their 9 in a row and rejoiced in ours . There have been many highs and many lows but at the moment for the first time ever I'm in despair for the future. I can't see any light at the end of the tunnel. The way things are going I don't think I'll ever see 55. It's worse than admin now. At least then to begin with everyone pulled together. Infighting , shit players , shit management from top to bottom. What the fuck has happened?
